You really need to take things you find on the internet with a grain of salt. For example, would you believe this video and photo if you saw it?
This bear who found comfort in a sofa is very real and has gone viral on the internet!
It appears that after the long winter’s nap, this bear definitely needed to find a place to relax a little bit. When the beautiful Canadian black bear spotted a couch in the middle of a garbage dump, he figured it was the perfect place to hang out and rest.
This discarded couch may have been of no use anymore for its previous owners, but the black bear clearly knows exactly what to do with it.
In October, bears usually scour their close environment and look for a lot of fatty foods, so that they get into their winter’s sleep.
Of course, the more food they can collect the better, as it greatly increases their chance of survival. For these bears, getting chubby is actually a very good thing!
When winter passed, this bear seemingly didn’t want to give up on the lazy life.
In the middle of spring, the only thing he seemed to care about was curling up on this old couch, and who could blame him?
It’s one thing to capture a bear in their natural habitat, but this moment is definitely one of the more unique photographs ever taken.
After all, animal experts will definitely agree that this is anything but regular behavior for a bear, and that’s what makes these pictures all the more incredible. Of course, they’re also just very funny to take a look at- who would ever expect to see a mighty and fierce bear in a laid-back position like this?
The majestic animal doesn’t have a care in the world.
It wasn’t a wildlife photographer who snapped these amazing pictures, but Mandy Stanic, a nurse who was simply driving around with her family. She noticed the bear in the middle of this landfill in Lac Brochet, Manitoba, Canada, and just knew she had to take out her smartphone to take pictures.
“It’s all forest surrounding the dump for hundreds of miles,” Mandy said to The Dodo about the landfill. “There’s more than enough to eat for them, but the berries aren’t out yet in the spring and garbage is easy pickings so that’s why they all congregate there.”
She even joked that bear was ready for a lazy night on the couch.
“I guess this particular bear had eaten his fill and was ready to relax on the couch. All he needed was some popcorn and Netflix.”
“He was posing just like a human … [it] was pretty unusual and unique,” she added. “You don’t see animals kind of imitating [humans] — sitting with their legs crossed, arms over the chair there. He’s just posing, just like a person,” she told CBC.
Apparently, this garbage dump is known to be the habitat of some bears in the area, but they never witnessed anything like this. What an absolutely hilarious and amazing sight to behold!
