If you want a dog that will give you a run for your money (pun semi-intended), you should look into adopting a Doberman pinscher.

These dogs are one of the top 10 dog breeds that are good at running. According to Petsworld, “The Black and tan Doberman pinscher can without much of a stretch come in at a top speed of 32mph.”

If that sounds impossible or unlikely, the video below will prove you wrong.

The owner of an adorable Doberman pinscher named Xena recorded her dog running at 30mph speeds as Xena’s owner drove a car alongside her.

Xena could easily give record-holding sprinters a challenge with her incredible speed!

Five-year-old Xena is impressively well-trained. In the beginning of the video, you can see Xena squealing eagerly, waiting for her mom to give her the “OK” to take off. When Xena’s owner gives the signal, Xena is off!

Just look at her go!

The video was taken in Bakersfield, California. While some dogs need to have something to chase, or maybe even a reward to chase, Xena only needs a command.

The way Xena runs, she’s like a dog version of the classic Forrest Gump character.

Run, Xena, run!

Xena’s owner chose a long open space for Xena to stretch her legs. According to the owner’s video description:

This is Xena, my 5-year-old Doberman pinscher. I have trained her since she was a pup not to go in the street. She runs at a speed of 30mph and loves this activity.

You can see Xena’s owner pressing on the gas pedal to keep up with Xena’s rocket-like speed.

At the end of their little exercise, Xena obediently slows down, listening to her mom’s command to “wait”.

With her tongue cutely hanging out of her mouth, Xena looked very satisfied with her afternoon sprint!

Many viewers were impressed with Xena’s incredible speed:

Imagine if Xena entered the dog olympics! She might end up facing other athletic dogs like these pups:

In the end, Xena is clearly loved and cared for. She gets the exercise that her breed needs, and she has a patient mama willing to drive her out every day to give her her running fix.

What a great pair!
