There are plenty of different ways to keep our dogs happy and healthy all the time. One of them is to engage them in a stimulating and fun activity. Walking is one of the best activities to do with your dog, but that option isn’t available all the time, especially when it’s raining.
Luckily, there are plenty of indoor activities that will be fun for both dogs and their owner.
Assume that it is heavily raining outside and walking your dog is out of the question — there are still activities to choose from that are suited for indoors. For example, an old-fashioned game of hide-and-seek.
Some dog owners consider hide-and-seek a great and enjoyable way to exercise their dogs. It could also help burn their dog’s excess energy to keep them from trashing your home.
This particular dog owner shows us how she does it with her dog.
Meet K’eyush, a gigantic pooch that loves playing hide-and-seek.
K’eyush is a large Husky-Malamute cross with a fierce stature and piercing eyes. However, don’t be fooled by his intimidating look as he is a smart, clingy, and playful pooch that has a “huge sense of humor.”
K’eyush’s owner is Jodie Boo, a DIY artist and YouTube vlogger who loves filming fun-filled adventures with her dog. On some days, they both enjoy indoor hide-and-seek together with K’eyush being the seeker.
K’eyush is an expert on hide-and-seek.
The game of hide-and-seek begins with K’eyush sitting in another room while Jodie finds a place to hide.
After Jodie finishes choosing a hiding spot, she calls K’eyush to come and find her. The first round ended instantaneously as K’eyush cleverly went straight to the room where his owner was hiding; he didn’t even hesitate as if he already knew she was going to be there.
The second round, Jodie hid under a desk cabinet. As she called K’eyush in, the pooch immediately went to the room where he heard the sound. It took him a few seconds to realize that Jodie scooched herself underneath the desk. After he found Jodie, he excitedly ran to his favorite dog cave behind the staircase.
The dog never fell for his owner’s simple tricks.
K’eyush wouldn’t fall for simple tricks like hiding behind the door, and so, Jodie decided to hide in a giant box.
As Jodie finished setting up for the final round, she called K’eyush to find her. K’eyush first ran to the wrong room and immediately ran to the next after realizing it. No Jodie could be found in both rooms and the pooch was starting to get confused.
Jodie gave away her position by accidentally burping, and the Huskamute slowly inspected the box by sniffing in the small gaps. After a few seconds, K’eyush got Jodie’s scent and smacked the box with his paws to tell Jodie he found her.
However, the stubborn owner refused to come out and continued to make fun of K’eyush by making sudden noises inside the box. Eventually, Jodie got K’eyush’s attention once again with the dog’s favorite squeaky toy and surprised him by coming out of the box. The excited pooch licked her and ran back to his cave.
The wholesome hide-and-seek game was uploaded on K’eyush’s channel on YouTube.
