Over the centuries that dogs have lived with humans, dogs and their owners have learned how to communicate with each other. Even though dogs may not understand the words ‘walk’ or ‘sit,’ they recognize the pitch of their owners’ voice and respond to that. They also understand visual cues.

Sometimes, though, it can seem like dogs have learned how to say human words. There have been tons of hilarious videos of dogs seeming to say words like ‘hello.’ These heartwarming videos often go viral.

Usually, viral videos of dogs talking feature pups saying cute things like ‘hello’ or ‘I love you.’ But Charlie’s video is a bit different. When Charlie’s owner asks him to talk, he speaks his mind and lets out a loud chorus of ‘blah blah blahs.’

In the description of her video, Charlie’s owner tried to guess what Charlie was thinking when he started saying ‘blah blah blah’:

“Have you ever considered how our dogs perceive us when we talk to much? Like, seriously, you might not give much thought about it, thinking how they literally say nothing, then it surely doesn’t bother them, right? You are in for quite a surprise!

Take Charlie here, for example. He lives with two sisters and you know how girls can be. They talk about hair and makeup and boys and other girls….They can be as silent as church mice when they want, but sometimes they can get so loud! And he has had it!”

At one point in the video, Charlie’s owner tries to get him to say ‘hello,’ but he won’t have it. Charlie only likes saying ‘blah blah blah,’ and he isn’t going to stop anytime soon.
