We all love our pets more a lot. But when you bring a newborn baby into the home, you have to be careful that your animals don’t hurt them. Even if you trust your dog implicitly, you never know when it’s going to turn on you or your child.
Seeing a small child attacked terrifying. That’s why it’s so important to keep your baby and your pets separate until they become acclimated to one another. There’s video evidence online of this kind of thing happening.
It went viral
One video depicting this kind of dog attack is available on YouTube. Considering it has over 14 million views, people all over the world have seen it. But until you watch it for yourself, you won’t believe what took place.

He’s looking off into the distance and minding his own business. From the look on his face, he doesn’t have a care in the world. But then, the unexpected threat comes into view.
The puppy spots its victim
A tiny Yorkie puppy bounds into camera view. You can see the pure malice in its eyes as it peers at the baby. Is it hungry? Does it have a thirst for blood? It might seem that way.
An unsuspecting victim
What’s even worse about this terrifying scene is the baby seems completely unaware of the threat. Being so young, he doesn’t notice the danger that’s right in front of him. At this point, the video gets hard to watch.
Inching his way closer
Then, the puppy goes in for the attack. It first starts to stalk around the baby. It looks as though the puppy is trying to get the best angle to attack. But, this little baby continues to stare into the distance.
The baby boy finally notices
Once the baby identifies the danger, he lets out a gasp of fear. It may sound like a giggle but that’s just because he’s nervous. You can tell by the look in his eye he’s absolutely terrified of the bloodthirsty beast before him.
The attack begins
It’s then when the puppy starts jumping on the baby. At some point, he nips the infant’s leg. The entire time, the little boy is helpless and practically begging his mom to get out from behind the camera to save him.
A successful attack
At the end of this video, the viewer can see the attack was successful. The puppy accomplishes its goal in knocking the child over. By now, the child is traumatized.
Okay…they’re actually best friends
Before you panic, take a minute to watch the video. This baby and the little puppy are good friends. While this pup might like to play rough, it’s not a threat to the little boy. They’re going to have such a fun time growing up together.

After all, rarely do they get bigger than six or seven pounds at maturity. The little boy isn’t going to have to worry about getting knocked down for long.
