Most people haven’t spent that much time on a ranch. But if you have, you know one of the greatest joys of ranch life is getting to see the baby animals. After just being born, they act like human babies in some ways. Not only are they’re fascinating to watch but it’s also interesting to see how they interact with their animal families and friends.
While animals as big as horses might be quite different from kittens or puppies, they still share many of the same traits. They have tons of energy when they’re young. Getting to see them let loose is a huge treat.
Wilbur the horse
Wilbur is a young horse that’s just learning his way around the world. He lives with his family near Little Washoe Lake in Nevada. He’s as cute as can be.
Going for a dip
This herd of horses often goes down the mountain. That’s where they go for a cool drink of water and a swim. One day, Wilbur decided to take a dip.
The water felt great
You know how it feels when you jump into a pool or the lake on a hot day? Without question, Wilbur felt that same way when he got into the water. And since it made him feel so good, he couldn’t help but express his excitement.
A case of the “zoomies”
Now, if you have a cat, you’ve probably seen it experience the “zoomies” before. That’s when they run all over the house as a way of burning up energy. Well, that’s what Wilbur did as he ran around the field. He looked so happy.
Getting rid some energy
No matter what the species, young animals are a lot alike. Sometimes, they just need to release built-up energy while at the same time, have some fun. It looked as though that’s what this silly foal tried to do.
Mom got involved
Do you know when little kids go around acting crazy and their moms try to calm them down? That’s exactly what happened here. When Wilbur’s mom saw him running around, she went chasing after him.
She couldn’t keep up
Unfortunately, even at such a young age, Wilbur was too fast for her. She tried to catch up to him but she just couldn’t manage. We’re sure a lot of human parents can relate.
Dad got involved too
When mom couldn’t wrangle the little one, that’s when dad had to get involved. About halfway through the video, he ran up to the pair to see what was going on. As for Wilbur, he just kept on running around.
A perfect day for a little horse
His parents might’ve been trying to keep him in line but Wilbur didn’t want to calm down. After a day in the water, he was feeling great. Although there’s a good chance his mom and dad felt stressed out by the ordeal, Wilbur had an outstanding day at the lake.
Going viral
At the time of writing, this video had only been up for two days. But during that time, it had already received thousands of views. People from near and far can’t help but fall in love with this sweet baby horse.
