Fur parents do the weirdest things with their dogs. But of course, for them, it’s not weird at all. For them, it’s just another way to show their love for their dog.
What do you think? Weird or loving?
1. “I’ll be right back!”
Every fur mom or fur dad will always tell their dog they’ll be right back when they leave. We can imagine this is the look dogs give their parents behind their back. If dogs can roll their eyes, they will. It’s true, their parents do come back, but right back? Uh-uh.
2. Matchy-matchy
Who says parents can only wear matching clothes with their spouse and children? Their dogs are their children, too! Gotta match with them, too!
3. What’s my name?
Dog moms and dog dads give their dog babies a name. But then they call their dogs a different name. What’s the deal here? Which name is their real name?
4. Multiple nicknames
How many nicknames should a dog have? They don’t know which name to respond to now. The nicknames seem to change every day!
5. The last-minute instructions
Before any fur parents leaves their dogs at home, they always give last-minute instructions. “Be a good doggie! Don’t pee on the carpet, don’t go into our room, don’t poop on the floor. Behave yourself!” Little children, who can understand their words, don’t even follow this. How can dogs do?
6. Long talks
Most people need someone to talk to. And no, they don’t need to be human. Sometimes, dogs tend to be the perfect conversation partner because they’re very good listeners.
7. Cutest in the world
All moms believe their babies are the cutest in the world. Human? Or dogs? It doesn’t matter. Babies are the cutest!
8. Doggy serenade
Fur parents love their dog babies so much. And those who are blessed with musical talents take it a step further. They write songs for their dogs and serenade them with it.
9. No privacy
You’d think you’d get some privacy in the bathroom. But they always want to follow inside. What to do? Just let them inside while you do your business in the bathroom.
10. Handfeeding dogs
Sometimes, it’s so adorable when your dogs are begging you to feed them with your hand. You can’t resist them so you feed them by hand. Careful that this doesn’t become a habit or they’ll always ask to be fed this way all the time.
11. “I’m Mommy/Daddy”
The dogs are your child so of course, you are their mommy and daddy. So you always refer to yourself as “Mommy” or “Daddy.” It’s weird for other people but perfectly normal for you!
12. When you play dead
When dog parents play dead, they try to see what their dog will do. Will their dog babies try to rescue them? Will they notice? Or will they ignore their parent? This one ignored his dad.
13. No photos!
There is one thing most dog parents and dogs don’t agree on. Photos. Some, if not most, dogs hate to stay still and have their photos taken. And they’ll sometimes hit you in th face for forcing them.
14. Share everything
Dog parents share everything with their dogs. They even share their beds. In fact, they share their entire bed with their dog and the parents end up sleeping on the floor or the couch.
15. Dog kisses
What’s the best way to show a dog’s love for their parent? Kisses, of course. Wet, sloppy kisses. On the face.
16. “You just gonna lie there?”
Fur moms always have this notion in their heads that their dog babies are up to do anything. But sometimes, they get lazy, too. And no matter how much mom forces them to do anything, they will just lie down somewhere. Even if their moms do the silliest things to make them move, they won’t.
17. Movie discussions
Dogs are the best movie companions. They will watch a movie with you. And they will listen and agree with everything you say. Yes, dogs are the best!
18. Their own special cookies
Everyone deserves their own special cookies, especially dogs. And they’re so special, no one else is allowed to touch and eat them. So hands off!
19. Photoshoot everyday
Fur moms cannot resist taking photos of their dog babies. In fact, it seems like everytime their dog babies breathe or take a step, these mommies are ready with their cameras. Their dog babies have either gotten used to it or still hate it.
20. Holding paws
Fur moms can’t resist holding their dog’s paws. They’re so soft and squidgy! Some dogs don’t mind holding paws with their moms but some don’t understand it either. Oh well.
21. That reflection
Some mommies and daddies will take their dogs in front of the mirror and point to their reflection. “See? That’s you! That’s you in the mirror!” And their dogs will look at them, as if they’re crazy. Say what?
22. Proud momma
Are you a dog momma training your baby to do something they don’t want to do or have trouble doing? Gotta be proud of them when they accomplish it. It’s party time!
23. Lap dog
Dogs, no matter how big or small they are, love to sit on their mommy or daddy’s lap. And mommy and daddy will never mind. They’ll even attempt to cuddle their dogs, even though they’re bigger than their parents!
24. Staring at each other
Sometimes, dog mommies and daddies can just spend their days staring at their dog babies or staring into their eyes. They can do this all day, every day, just wondering what their dog babies are thinking. Or whether their dogs actually like them.
25. Dog rewards
Fur parents love to give their dog rewards. Did they pee or poo outside? You get a treat! Did they successfully sit when you said the word? You get a treat! Did they wait for the signal to eat even if the food was in front of them? You get a treat!
26. Cuddle time
Doesn’t it melt your heart every time your dog ends up sleeping on your lap? Just when you thought they couldn’t get any cuter, they do whenever you watch them peacefully sleep. A seriously heart-melting sight.
27. Sneaking dogs
Sometimes, you feel so guilty about leaving your dogs when you’re at work that you want to just be with them otherwise. So when you go out, you bring them along using your bag. But the are places where dogs aren’t allowed. What do you do? You use your big bag and sneak in your dog! Perfect!
28. No petting?
Fur parents are so proud of their dog babies and want to show them off to everyone. So they always walk them at parks or the neighborhood streets. But then no one stops to pet them? What’s going on? These people have no appreciation for true beauty!
29. When they look up
Sometimes, you’ll speak to your dog just so they can look up and look at you like this. Your heart melts once again.
30. That dog mom life
Sometimes, actually all the time, you just want to be with your dog. So that coffee date with your friend? Can’t go now because your dog needs you. But they don’t need to know that.
31. Milestones
Who cares about your birthday or your milestones? But we can’t forget that day when our fur babies pooped outside or for the first time. That day always calls for a celebration every year!
32. They’re so comfortable!
You need to get up and pee or make breakfast. But your baby’s so comfortable, it’s hard to wake them up from their slumber. Just give them a few more minutes!
33. Cuddly feet
When your hands are not free but you want to cuddle your dog, what do you do? Use your feet! Make sure they’re clean though! Although, dog don’t really mind. They’ll lick it clean for you.
34. Doggy best friends
When your dog spends at least 10 seconds with another dog, they become automatic best friends! Such a proud mommy. And you tell everyone you pass by on the street or who calls you or texts you that your dog baby just met his newest best friend.
35. Belly rubs
Sometimes, your dogs don’t want their heads scratched or rubbed. They want belly rubs instead. Give them lots of belly rubs!
