When looking at this picture, what’s the first thing that you see?
For many people on Reddit, their first thought was “Oh my goodness! What is wrong with that poor dog?!”
If you’re like these people and thought the same thing, don’t worry — it’s not a terrifying, disfigured dog. As soon as this picture was posted on Reddit, people were having a tough time wrapping their brains around what they were looking at. For those of you that can’t quite see what people are freaking out over, let us explain.
For the people who are seeing a monstrous creature, they see that the dog’s left eye is acting as its right eye, his nose is being interpreted as a strange looking left eye, his right eye is seen as a little nose, and the drooping lip looks like a left ear! Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Can’t see what people are freaking out over? Yeah, it seems to be about a fifty-fifty crowd. Much like the infamous “blue and white dress illusion.”
The comments on Reddit, however, didn’t fail to deliver. People’s reactions were absolutely hilarious, and the internet was left debating what was “really happening” in the picture.
So, let’s clear up any confusion, and put this mysterious and slightly terrifying illusion to rest.
