A few years ago, one kitty made his desire for stardom known with a surprise guest appearance on a local weather broadcast.
The cat, named Lupin, apparently belonged to an employee at the studio who had been working out of town. No one knows how he managed to sneak in for his guest appearance, but the star-crazed kitty was determined to be on the show.
In the footage, you see Joerg Kachelmann, getting ready to tell Germany to bundle up for one of the coldest nights of the year. A few seconds into his 2-minute broadcast, a cat’s tail appears at the bottom of the screen.
In an interview with The Telegraph UK, Kachelmann explains, “I noticed [Lupin] when he rubbed against my leg and thought people might wonder what was happening.”
Lupin rubs himself on Kachelmann’s pant legs, purring for attention—and the weatherman just can’t say no to the kitty’s adorable, furry face.
“I figured it would be easier to control the cat by picking him up. Cats get annoyed if they feel ignored. So I made sure he didn’t feel ignored.”
Kachelmann keeps it professional, continuing with his report as if Lupin is not around. It must have been difficult though, with the adorable little guy headbutting Kachelmann’s chin and pawing at his beard while demanding more love.
The clip of Kachelmann and Lupin was uploaded to YouTube where it has been viewed over 2 million times. Viewers praised Kachelmann for his professionalism and kindness…
