Nothing pains our hearts more than seeing animals in pain. We don’t want to ever see any animals in pain, but it especially hurts when the animal is a sweet, innocent, little puppy.
Sometimes pets don’t exactly hit the “family lottery” and they are stuck living with people who neglect and/or abuse them — it’s sad. However, there is some good news and that is sometimes, those pets are rescued by better owners.
This sweet little pup, named Meesha, turned out to be one of the luckier ones when she was rescued by a new family who wanted to give her a better life.
When she was only six-weeks-old, Meesha — along with her brother, Charlie, around the same age — was surrendered to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. They came from a litter of puppies that, unfortunately, were unwanted and unexpected.
So it’s great that Meesha and her brother were rescued, however, what they went through was still traumatizing. They really went through the wringer during that scary time.
And they still had some minor struggling to get through.
But luckily she had the help of someone who truly loves animals.
After Meesha was rescued, she had to get spayed. After the surgery, when she was recovering from anesthesia, she was going through a bit of a rough time.
Her body felt so weird, so naturally she was very scared and disoriented. She didn’t know what was going on and she was experiencing pain. She needed some extra love.
So this ended up to be one of the most precious moments we have ever seen.
When Meesha was feeling strange, the vet was the one to give her some extra love. Video was caught of the vet holding her and giving her lots of hugs and kisses. She was almost cradling her and rocking her from side to side as if Meesha was a baby.
The video is so sweet, it is guaranteed to melt your heart!
It sure melted the heart of millions, as the clip of the vet hugging the sweet pooch went viral and amassed over 3 million views online. It got press coverage from outlets like Inside Edition and really, it was just the adorable clip we love to see. It really does brighten our day.
We don’t love knowing that the dog is in pain, but it’s good that it was only temporary and the sweet vet was there to offer comfort in the meantime. They both look like they’re enjoying the affection, too!
Plenty of people chimed in the comment section for this video with some pretty funny stuff. Some people wondered why they don’t receive this kind of treatment from their doctors (because you have to be an adorable puppy to get that kind of treatment!). Other people said that the video made their “heart explode glitter.”
We strangely understand what they mean.
“Thank you to [Surgical Assistant] Dennis [Moses] and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our shelter—saving lives and loving the animals. (Turn on the sound, it will melt your heart!),” BARCS wrote on their Facebook page.
