A couple was immediately smitten by a baby fox they found.
They were completely head over heels in just a few days.
That’s why it was so hard for them to say goodbye once she regained her strength and was ready to be returned to the wild.
The adorable little fox pup was found in a field, yelping her high-pitched cries for help.
The little baby was feeling much better after her third day with the couple.
They had her in a cage that had a covered cardboard box in it. They also put food, water, a litter box, and a toy duck in the cage.
She was sleeping so her new human mom called out to her with a little chirp.
The fox returned the chirp and came out to say hello.
She greeted her human friends with a big yawn as they let her play with a little fox hand puppet.
They took her outside to see if she was ready to go back out into the wild but the poor thing was terrified.
So, they brought her back inside.
They decided to give her some medicine but she didn’t seem too pleased. But this little fox is so freaking adorable with her little yelping.
To make up for it, her human gave her lots of pets and she was a very happy little fox again.
After the fifth day in the couple’s care, the fox was ready to go.
She was bursting with energy and was coming into her wild nature.
But she definitely still liked her pets, regardless of her rambunctiousness.
Now, she was taking her food and medicine with no problem.
Watching her with that thick milk dripping all over her face is just too cute.
Now that the fox had gained some weight and was feeling full of life and energy, she was ready to go.
The couple put the tiny fox pup in a travel crate and went, “Bye-bye.”
“Bye-bye” meant a trip to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. The couple was sad to say goodbye to the adorable fox but she was in good hands now.
The little fox’s recovery was viewed more than 5.9 million times on YouTube.
“Beautiful. It is amazing how she rebounded in just a few days with food and medicine. You could even see the color return to her fur. Animals are so amazingly resilient,” wrote a YouTube commenter.
This baby fox was so cute that it even brought some viewers to tears.
