This is Peaches, a chubby tubby of a kitty who is so adorably round that you just want to pinch her cheeks and coo at her like a baby.
But, wait until you see what she looks like after she gets a very revealing haircut. It shows a side of her that know one even knew was there, not even her vet, who was the one who recommended that she get the hilarious haircut that’s now gone viral!
At first glance Peaches looks like your normal, everyday house cat. She’s a little thick around the middle, which comes from spending too much time lounging in the fake carpet tree in the corner, and not enough time chasing after birds in real trees outside.
She has that hangry, glazed look in her eyes that says if you don’t feed her within the next 10 minutes, you won’t like what she does to the couch while you’re napping.
But, it’s not all Peaches’ fault! She was originally a shelter rescue who was adopted by Chrissy Higginson Barnabei’s elderly in-laws. They absolutely loved her, but they may have doted on her a little bit too much since her formerly slim waist ballooned up in no time!
The extra pounds were a bit of a hassle, but it also came with an unexpected problem that us humans don’t really have to deal with.
It turns out that poor Peaches was a little bit too chunky to bend over and reach her tush for those unseemly kitty clean-up jobs!
What’s a fat cat supposed to do? Get a new hairdo, of course!
A recent checkup with the vet came with a recommendation that Peaches be given a special “sanitary cut” to remove the fur around her tush.
Chrissy readily agreed to the procedure, but unbeknownst to everyone, Peaches had a very BIG underlying problem. It was something that was probably pretty obvious in “hind sight,” but it didn’t actually reveal itself until after the shaving had commenced.
The kitty’s butt, it turns out, was rather huge! She told The Dodo:
“I burst out laughing once I saw her big pink booty. I was pretty shocked but couldn’t help but laugh.”
The lewdness level here is unreal and may even leave you with a little bit of a pink blush in your own cheeks – the ones on your face, of course!
If Peaches were a celeb, her unexpected show at the vet’s office would be the equivalent to Kim Kardashian displaying her slick, and very rotund, backside on the Winter 2014 cover of Paper magazine.
Someone was so taken aback by all the bare-bottomed nakedness that ensued, they Photoshopped a proper pair of knickers onto her exposed buttocks!
But, now that her bum is hanging out for all the world to see, does Peaches mind that her rear end is so recognizable?
“She’s totally owning her new look. She is such a diva. It has helped her tremendously. She no longer has issues or discomfort. I thought that she would be cold, but she’s totally fine.”

Peaches is loving all the extra attention, but this sexy little cat is totally chill about her newfound fame.

Peaches’ new haircut has put a new spring in her step, which means that she’s now burning off some of the blubber that put her in this predicament in the first place.
And a slimmer hiney means that this not-so-fat cat can finally grow her fur back! But in the eyes of the Internet, and maybe even Sir Mix-A-Lot, she’ll forever be the kitty version of the “Baby Got Back” girl.
“Once she loses a few pounds, she’ll be able to reach, and then no more sanitary cuts for her. Though it is pretty funny to see her pink butt flash by all the time.”
