Dogs are smart.

You turn your back on them for a second and they can easily find a way to get into trouble.

Nowadays, there are so many shows about prison breaks and wild escapes.

I mean, there is literally a show called Prison Break!

Honestly though, we all have to agree – a good prison break, whether in a movie or a television show, is always exciting to watch (looking at you, Shawshank Redemption).

While humans are pretty good at constructing prisons for other humans, animals always seem to make better escape artists than we do!

Just think about it.

People spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on incredibly built homes with the latest security systems and all the works.

What does it take to break into the home?

One fluffy squirrel who wants to hide his acorns and BOOM, you need a new roof.

Animals are the best escape artists that nature has to offer.

Of all nature’s escape artists, we would probably have to say that the octopus is the best, right?

They can squeeze into any hole, open lids, turn doorknobs, and write in three languages (one of those is a lie).

We are totally willing to admit that octopuses are the best around, but what about the cutest?

To answer the question of “worlds cutest escape artist,” we have to take a look at a recent video.

This video shows us just how cute a prison break can be.

In this heist are three characters, two boxers and a bichon frise.

Bella the boxer is about to pull her greatest trick ever so Cooper (the bichon) can come play.

At the beginning of the video, Bella sizes up the kennel.

Casing the joint is always the first step in any prison break.

You need to learn its weaknesses, strengths, and the rotation of the guards.

A good case of the joint, and you can move on to the next steps.

The next steps involve practicing over and over until you get the details down pat.

Anyone knows that the devil is in the details.

Making sure that you know every inch and aspect of that prison is key to a successful break.

We can see that in the video, Bella is clearly prepared.

Now, they need a set-up.

In this scenario, it looks like Bella goes with the classic “I’m just visiting” tactic.

Bringing the prisoner into the meeting area usually exposes them more and widens the possibilities for the breakout.

For Bella, a few licks with Cooper was enough to throw security off her trail.

It’s just two friends saying hi, right?

Finally, the big break.

After a few more licks to make sure it just looked like she was saying hello, she goes for it.

A quick move to the latch, and it’s soon flying open, and Cooper is free to go!

Cooper obviously wasn’t moving fast enough though, as Bella even tried to take his bed and pull him from the kennel!

She just knew that time was of the essence, and they needed to get Cooper out pronto.

The break was still successful, despite the guards catching the entire thing on tape.

As long as they got a few minutes of playtime, it was all worth it.
