When parents are introducing their new baby to the family pet, some worry about the safety of their newborn.
But, baby Alice’s parents had nothing to worry about when they introduced her to Don Juan.
Their sweet pug was ready to take on the big brother role and Alice was more than excited to have a furry sibling to play with. Alice is like most babies, she loves to crawl around and has no concept of personal space.
Don Juan the pug learned this pretty quickly about his new little sister.
In this precious video, baby Alice walks over to inspect Don Juan in his cozy bed. She looks at her pug brother and decides she’s going to step right into his basket and make herself feel at home.
Don Juan’s expression says it all as he just stares off pitifully and squeezes around her to still find a comfy spot.
This loyal pug knows sometimes he has to put up with his baby human invading all of his space. Now, if that’s not friendship, I don’t know what is?
Way back in the day pugs were actually treated like royalty.
They sat on the laps of many dukes and duchesses, even Napolean’s wife had a pug. Their royal background is only one of the many reasons why pugs are awesome. If you’re looking for a furry addition to your family, pugs are one of the most kid-friendly dog breeds. They love companionship and are playful, easy-going pups.

The parents don’t even have to worry about finding a babysitter with Don Juan’s attentive care!
We just hope they got a bigger bed so these two could share a little better. One thing is for sure, our pets are truly one of a kind. They always know how to make those cloudy days a whole lot brighter.
Alice certainly lucked out having Don Juan as her furry friend.
