Cats can be tricky animals to figure out. Sometimes, all they want is your love and attention. Other times, their sole goal in life seems to be to cause mischief.
But sometimes, a cat is completely clear and single-minded in what they want. Like the cat in the video below.
Sometimes, however, your cat will want nothing more than to snuggle up on your lap. And you best believe that they will be relentless in gaining your lap for their snuggles.
Here is one such kitty who wants one such lap, and will stop at nothing to sleep on it.
The kitten’s owner gently moves it from his lap and places it tenderly on the carpet in front of him.
But little “Hinoki” is not having a bar of that! He immediately gets up and looks around as if to say “What the fur man?”
Shaking his wee head, he seems to wake up a tiny bit before residing himself to the fact that he does NOT want to be awake and must return to sleep as soon as possible.
But the carpet simply won’t do.
Hinoki trots straight back to his dad and climbs back onto his legs.
This kitten will not be some low-class floor kitten. He’s a lap kitten, through and through.
Hinoki wastes no time in getting back up to his happy place up there on Dad’s lap.
Back in his favorite place, Hinoki seems content…for now. I’m not sure why, but Hinoki’s dad seems to want to test his dedication to lap sleeping.
Once again Hinoki is placed gently down on the carpet.
A bold move on Dad’s part, but at he must know that this kitten will not give up and stay on the carpet.
His determination to move Hinoki has warranted some pretty funny comments. A few read:
“It’s the law, if a baby animal sleeps on you, you’re not allowed to move. Accept your fate.”- Searth Ngeam
Of course, once again, Hinoki returns to his dad’s lap. If you could put a treadmill between Hinoki and his dad, you could create a source of infinite renewable energy.
You could power a small town off the energy that this cat will expend to sleep on his lap!
This little kitten is truly adorable, and we’re glad he and his owner are having so much fun together.
