In a heartwarming video that has gone viral on YouTube, a man rescues a stray kitten he found on the street and brings her into his home.

He names the little feline Akula and welcomes her with open arms. However, there’s one potential obstacle to Akula’s smooth integration into the family – Choko, the family’s Rottweiler.

The man is unsure how Choko will react to the new addition.

The video’s description reads, “I found an abandoned kitten and decided to adopt her. This is the progress with Choko. I wonder who scares who?”

It’s a well-known stereotype that cats and dogs are natural enemies, but Akula doesn’t seem to have received that memo.

The newborn kitten appears to have no idea that she’s supposed to be afraid of dogs. Without any hesitation, she runs right up to Choko to say hello.

It’s a bold move, considering that animal experts typically recommend a slow introduction process for new pets.

According to PAWS, it’s better to introduce new pets gradually.

They suggest keeping the animals separate initially and swapping their sleeping blankets for a few days to allow them to get accustomed to each other’s scents.

Face-to-face meetings should come later. However, in this case, the two pets dive right into their meet-and-greet without any preamble.

Surprisingly, Choko seems to be the one who’s afraid of little Akula. In an unexpected twist, the dog jumps up and cautiously backs away from the tiny kitten.

It’s not the reaction anyone would expect from a large Rottweiler.

Undeterred, Akula is determined to make friends with the older dog. She approaches Choko again, trying to greet him for the second time.

This time, Choko is more accepting of the kitten, although he’s clearly curious about the new animal in his territory. It’s the first time he’s seen a member of the feline species up close and personal.

Choko is well-behaved throughout the encounter, never once attempting to bite or attack the kitten.

However, he does gently nudge her away a few times with his nose. He’s busy relaxing in the kitchen and seems to want some alone time.

By the end of the video, the mood in the room has completely changed.

After their initial introductions, Akula and Choko seem to have settled into their new living arrangement.

They appear to have realized that they’ll have to share their living space and might as well get along.

Judging by the smiles on both their faces after a few minutes, it wouldn’t be a stretch to call them friends.

Akula’s persistence in showing love eventually won Choko over, just as it did with the humans in the household.

She wasn’t about to let any old-fashioned superstitions about dogs and cats ruin her attitude. She approached the situation fearlessly, and it paid off.

Here’s to wishing the new family members the best of luck as they continue learning to live together in one home.
