There’s something so adorable about a big animal and a little animal interacting.
It’s always cute to see how a big animal acts around a tiny one, and an American pit bull and a little orange kitten is the perfect example of this. The animals’ owner decided to introduce them and see how they would get along.
Fortunately, the woman turned on her camera for their meeting because it turned into the cutest scene ever!

Bringing a new pet into your family is always exciting.
However, when you have other animals in the household it means they’ll have to do some adjusting too.
YouTube user 1984missdaisy is the pet-mom of a sweet-looking dog named Licious. One day, she had a little surprise for the dog…she had adopted a kitten! In order for the two to get to know each other, she set the kitten down by Licious for a meeting.
Right away, the kitty seems curious about the massive pooch and her massive paws!
The kitten sniffs, touches, and starts to play with the pit bull’s paws.
In response, Licious just watches her as she does so with gentle-looking eyes.
She doesn’t move a muscle and it doesn’t seem to be bothering her one bit! Her owner then asks:
“What’s that kitty doing to ya, Mama?”
From this point, the video only gets sweeter. The dog’s tail starts wagging and her tongue starts preparing for lots of kisses!
The dog just can’t hold back any longer and begins to shower the baby cat with licks.
It’s precious watching the canine act so sweetly to her new sibling.
Yet, it almost appears that her maternal instinct is coming out and she’s trying to take care of her as if she’s her own. One viewer commented:
“Your pitbull is behaving like a mother to the kitten when she was licking her under belly and behind. That how they encourage their baby to potty.”
It seems like it’s an adorable friendship made in heaven.
The kitten doesn’t seem frightened at all and is enjoying playing with her giant friend’s “funny feet.”
On the other side, the pooch has a new little one to care for. Aww, thanks, Mom!
Despite what some believe, dogs and cats can indeed have a strong bond (or learn to tolerate each other). According to the AKC, there are even certain dog breeds that are “typically good with cats,” such as Basset Hounds, Labs, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Pugs, and more. However, with a good introduction, socialization, and training – most breeds can live harmoniously with a cat.
Licious is loving kissing and cleaning her buddy so much that the pet owner decides to step in and stop her.
The woman says:
“Lish, enough with the licking. Lish, no more kisses!”
All good things usually come to an end at some point. But in this case, it’s a heartwarming scene a lot of us could have watched for longer!

These two had the best time together, and it’s so sweet to see how gentle the pit bull is with the kitten. What a pair of cuties.
