Katelyn Simpson is an incredibly talented bowler. The Idaho resident has been bowling since she was three years old. She was on her bowling team in college, and she was on the USA Junior National Team in 2015.
In total, Simpson has had nine perfect 300 score games. Simpson’s parents also own a bowling alley, KT’S Lanes, so bowling is in Simpson’s blood!
In early 2017, Simpson and her family got an adorable Goldendoodle puppy named Blake. When Blake was twelve weeks old, Simpson decided to try taking him bowling.
“We always thought it would be fun to teach him how to bowl, so as soon as he got tall enough to reach the ramp, we put a ball up there and we tried to just see what happens and he loved it!” Simpson told KBOI.
Simpson set up a ramp next to the bowling lane. Then, she placed the ball on top of it. She placed little Blake’s arms on the ball and helped him push. Blake quickly caught on, and he soon started pushing the ball on his own.
“I think his high game is, like, a 93,” Simpson said. “He gets strikes every once in awhile, pretty good spare shooter.”

Clever Blake can also do lots of other tricks. He’s a pro at playing dead, and he can also speak and high-five on command. Blake can do anything he sets his mind to!
Simpson started an Instagram page for Blake, and it quickly received thousands of followers. Everyone was amazed by Blake’s bowling skills.
“Everybody that I know through bowling just loves him. Like, ‘Oh my gosh, you have a bowling dog.’ So, he’s very popular,” said Simpson. “His last video on Facebook got, like, over 16,000 views.”
At the end of 2017, Simpson and her family got another Goldendoodle, Adam. Blake showed his little brother the bowling ropes.
It took Adam a little while to master bowling. But once he got it, he loved it just as much as his big brother. Now, the two often go bowling together.
The Goldendoodle brothers have become fixtures KT’s Lanes. Everybody who comes to bowl there loves saying hi to the dogs. The two dogs have become the bowling alley’s mascots.
Blake and his little brother Adam are smart dogs who are both incredible bowlers! If you want to see more photos of Blake, head to his Instagram page. If you’d like to see Blake in action, check out the video below.
