Sometimes it’s the simple things that help us get through the day.
Like a smile from a stranger or the wagging tail of a dog that’s happy to see us.
It might be why sanitation workers always make sure to bring Vizsla dogs Ralph and Bruno treats on garbage day.
According to the American Kennel Club, Vizslas can grow to a range in height of 21 to 24 inches and weigh between 44 and 60 lbs.
They have a life expectancy of 12 to 14 years.
The red-coated dogs are known to be close to humans and extremely affectionate.
The two doggos get super excited each time that truck pulls up.
They eagerly run to the window when the workers approach.
Ralph and Bruno wag their tails wildly as they wait for the men to pop a treat through the open upper window for them.
So, the brothers were pretty upset the day that they thought their favorite city employees forgot about them.
They had the complete opposite reaction when they realize that this wasn’t so. Their human caught the whole ordeal on video and put it on their TikTok page.
The video starts with Ralph perched on the couch staring out the window as the truck pulls up.
He quickly runs up to the window and stands against the windowsill as Bruno runs over and does the same.
Both their tails start wagging in excitement as a sanitation worker walks up to take their bin.
They eagerly wait for the men to finish their business and reward them with a treat. But that doesn’t happen, so they retreat back to their original spots on the couch and off camera in disappointment.
But then something great happens.
The sanitation worker returns much to their delight. They race back to the window to see if they will be bestowed with treats.
That’s when their tails seem to be motorized and wag like crazy.
Sure enough, the worker walks right up to the window and pops a treat through the upper window.
To make up for disappointing them earlier, he gives them a second round of treats for good measure.
“The boys honestly thought the bin men had forgotten about them today. Look how Bruno’s tail wagging when he realises,” the video’s caption reads.
That video was viewed more than 1.9 million times on TikTok.
Ralph and Bruno now have more than 32,000 followers on TikTok, where you’ll find lots of videos with them getting treats from various sanitation workers. It’s obvious why garbage day is Ralph and Bruno’s favorite day.
