When a homeless man was admitted to a hospital, his 4 companions didn’t leave him – instead, they waited patiently for him. His four companions were all dogs.
If you are a nurse or a doctor, it is already very common to witness family members waiting patiently for their loved ones while they are being treated. Cris Mamprim was working the usual night shift at Hospital Regional Alto Vale located at Rio do Sul, Brazil, when a homeless man came in seeking treatment at around 3:00 a.m in the morning.
A homeless man named César went to the hospital where Cris was working and asked to be treated for his preexisting condition, she immediately noticed something.
She saw that there were 4 dogs who were gathered outside the door of the admitting room. It turns out that they were waiting for their friend to get released.
“They are all well taken care of and chubby,” Cris Mamprim told in her interview with The Dodo.
Indeed, these dogs looked so healthy and well-fed. You can see in their photo that they were really concerned about their friend. It was something you definitely don’t see every day.
“Seeing them like that, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are cared for and loved,” she continued.
“A simple person, without luxury, who depends on the help to win hunger, cold, pain, wickedness of the world, has by his side the best companions, and the exchange is reciprocal.” Cris Mamprin said in her viral Facebook post.
Seeing homeless people with pets is not uncommon. In fact, we can deeply understand that the bond between man and dog will surpass trials. It doesn’t matter if you have a house or if you don’t, your dog will love you for who you are and indeed, this man knew that.
“Exchange of love, affection, warmth, understanding,. A person who confess to us that he stops eating to feed them. I don’t know how his life is, why he’s on the street, and I don’t even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for his pets,” Cris continued in her Facebook post caption.
These dogs were indeed well-fed and were healthy and this shows how much love César has for them and we can all see how they love him equally. Indeed, this event proves to us that the bond between these dogs and this homeless man was beyond wonderful.
Another photo shows how the dogs just couldn’t wait for their friend to come back to them but despite their eagerness to be with him again, they knew they had to wait for him – so they did.
They were so polite and well-behaved dogs.
After César got the medical attention that he needed, his dogs were finally allowed inside and they were reunited. After being discharged from the hospital, Mamprim and her fellow nurse were moved by amazing friendship that this man and his dogs have shown.
“Seeing them like this, waiting at the door, just shows how well care and loved they are. Oh if everyone was like this…. if there was no evil, abuse.” Cris ended her Facebook post with this realization.
Indeed, César may not have a house to call home but he sure has a loving family.
