Georgia Bradley is a 25-year-old student from the Plymouth University in England and she recently decided to take a small break from her study books to plan a trip to Greece. She rented an apartment and was planning on spending a couple of days on the island of Crete, known for its beautiful beaches.

The college student then wanted to spend some time on the beach when two strange men suddenly approached her. It wasn’t a particularly crowded spot on the beach, and Georgia immediately realized that she could be in danger. According to the woman, the two men asked if she would accompany them to have a couple of drinks, but things quickly took a turn for the worse when she denied.

The two men quickly got more and more aggressive and one of them grabbed her arm rather violently.

Because they were in a secluded spot, no one was around to help Georgia – except for a brave stray dog.

Just in time, the stray dog immediately came to the aid of Georgia. She positioned himself between the college student and the two men and then started barking very loudly. Realizing that the barking could bring unwanted attention for the men, they quickly ran away and also feared that the dog would attack them.

Georgia didn’t hesitate for a second and made sure to run away and get help. Eventually, she made it to her apartment back to safety with friends. She didn’t notice it at first, but after a while, Georgia realized that the stray dog actually followed her back to her apartment. At that very moment, the two seemed to create an inseparable bond.

“She saved me. She must have noticed something was wrong. When I went back to the apartment she followed me and finally let us stroke her. We had an instant bond,” The Independent reports.

When it was time for Georgia to return back home, both herself and the pup weren’t very keen on saying goodbye. The stray dog even chased Georgia’s car as she was heading toward the airport for her flight back to England.

Georgia felt heartbroken because of the fact that she had to leave her best friend behind. That’s why she decided to fly back to the Greek island a bit later to find the stray dog again and adopt her. And find her, she did!

The two reunited and Georgia wanted to adopt the pup at all costs. The adoption procedure was quite lengthy and cost thousands of pounds, but their friendship was truly priceless. The pup – who she named Pepper – was also pregnant with six puppies. After weeks of paperwork and multiple trips to Greece, Pepper finally was allowed to go back home to England with Georgia.

Pepper saved Georgia, and now it was Georgia’s turn to save her. Heartwarming!
