Even the world’s best human athletes pale in comparison to the world’s animals. It is incredible to see how certain animals do things. Humans, for example, have a top speed of around 28 mph. While that may seem fast, certain dog breeds can reach 45 mph in a few strides!
Animals and athletes have a lot in common.
While certain animals specialize in various abilities, human athletes specialize in different sports. For humans, the world’s most popular sport is soccer. Almost every country in the world fills stadiums, hoping to see their favorite players make incredible goals and run for miles on end.
What happens when you combine human sports with animals?
Well, one dog recently decided that he wanted his TV debut! During a nationally televised game in Gori, Georgia, one pup made a break for it. Usually, if someone is running full speed across the field, they typically don’t have clothes on, but this time no humans were involved.
From what it appears, the dog is a stray who happened to get out on the field.
There are stray dogs everywhere in the world. Since many of them don’t have homes, they are constantly looking for food and potential resources. What better place to scavenge for food and snacks than a soccer game where there are thousands of people?
It was caught on video and may be one of the cutest things ever!
The announcer is talking about the game when we see a little black streak run in from the bottom of the camera shot. The dog runs up to one of the players and starts sniffing him and wanting to play.
We don’t know how old the dog is, but it appears to be full of energy.
With the energy of a puppy, the dog runs back and forth on the field looking for someone to play with. You can hear the crowd cheering for the soccer pup as it sprints around the green field.
Even these tops athletes couldn’t keep up with this super pup.
One goalie walks up to the dog and attempts to pet it. The dog is so excited and full of energy that it thinks the goalie is asking him to perform a trick. Sitting and then rolling over, the dog draws laughs from the crowd and the goalie.
It appears that this pup just wanted some belly rubs.
The players eventually corral the dog to the edge of the field and the video ends. All we know is that this dog was having a ton of fun! From the way that he responded to the goalie, this pup was probably just looking for a bit of love.
Animals making it on the field is always worth a laugh.
