Steve-O is known for doing crazy (and when I say crazy I mean crazy) stunts with the Jackass crew. After the whole Jackass thing died down, Steve-O became a comedian, vegan, and animal activist.
He even recently fell in love!
Steve-O was on a trip to Peru to enjoy some mountain climbing when he met one of the loves of his life. Her name is Wendy she has dirty blonde to light brown hair with spots of white and a cute little brown nose.
That’s because she is a dog. A stray he made friends with and decided that he would bring home with him.
“I came to Peru on this crazy mission to mountain climb and I wanted to find a street dog to be my companion,” he says in a video on his YouTube channel. “So on my first day I bought a couple bags of dog feed and I went around trying to feed dogs.”
It didn’t exactly go so well.
None of the dogs were friendly and all ran away from him. That’s until he met Wendy. The kind pup stood up and slowly walked over to him and ate food right out of his hand.
“Right away we had a total connection,” Steve-O explains.
Steve-O and his crew were going to dine at a restaurant but Wendy couldn’t come inside so he had to leave her outside.
He figured he would never see her again but when they came out of the restaurant, Wendy was standing there with a bunch of her dog friends.
And these pups were all super friendly.
“They all wanted love,” Steve-O said. “It’s like she told the dogs I was cool or something.”
So Steve-O snuck her into his hotel but they were stopped by the manager who said that this wasn’t allowed. So, he asked if he could give her a bath first and decided that he would sleep with her outside in a tent. Boy, was that tub filthy!
She could have left but she stayed right by his side the whole night, so he took her to the vet the very next day.
She was groomed, vaccinated, and rid of fleas and worms.
“She’s no street dog anymore,” Steve-O said.
She went mountain climbing with Steve-O and his buddies and ended up going home with him. Now he says that she is going to be his travel partner for life.
