People are now spending more time at home than ever. With the novel coronavirus pandemic spreading across the globe, individuals have had to find new ways to keep themselves entertained while keeping their distance from others. For some, that means more quality family time. And for others, it consists of focusing more on work.

But for those who can’t go back to their job, some creativity can be key to remaining sane. You can always get your family to help out, even if they’re on the furrier side.

That’s what Andrew Cotter is doing

This sports announcer from London, England currently has a lot of time on his hands. And since there are no sports going on right now, he’s not doing his normal job. Usually, he’s a freelance broadcaster who gives play-by-plays on a wide variety of sporting events.

A change of pace

But quarantine isn’t terrible for Cotter. When he’s not working, he usually spends a lot of time hiking with his two dogs…Mabel and Olive.

Enjoying each other’s company

While this situation is causing a lot of strife around the world, Cotter is grateful that he gets to spend extra time with his girls. They’re probably just as thrilled that he’s home. He started thinking about how he could get them involved with the type of work he does.

A new type of commentator

Since Cotter is no longer announcing sports, he had to turn to announce his dogs’ daily activities. You might be surprised to learn it’s even more entertaining than watching real sports. Who doesn’t want to see what two adorable pups do all day?

Eating competition

In one of the videos, there’s an eating competition between the two dogs. He thought Mabel was going to end up as the winner but nope, Olive swooped in and won at the last minute. His commentary made this ordinary situation super funny.

It was shared all over the internet

This video was so cute that it went viral right away. Amazingly, ESPN shared it and so did Ryan Reynolds. That proves a lot of people saw and loved it.

Game of Bones

The next challenge was a slower strategy. The two pups are chewing on bones in their house while Cotter commented on the whole thing. You can’t help but smile when you see it.

Cotter was surprised

Even though Cotter had a good time doing this with his pups, he didn’t realize the videos would get so much attention.

He said, “It just shows how much we are all missing sport and what we term ‘normal life. We absolutely take it for granted, and we are at last realizing that. I believe when sport returns, there will be a huge outpouring and it will not nearly be as cynical as before.”

Internet famous

Even though Mabel and Olive are now internet famous, that doesn’t mean they’ve let it go to their heads. They’re just as humble and down-to-earth as ever. As their dad, Cotter must be proud of them.
