A little girl named Addy very much wanted her own puppy. Addy and her brother Keegan knew a dog would be the perfect fit for their house.
Thankfully, their parents agreed, and they began the process of looking for a dog.
Addy’s mom Tiffany found a special dog for her little girl.
When Tiffany saw an ad about a dog with a “lucky fin,” she knew that he would be the best pet for Addy. They contacted the rescuers so they can process his adoption.
Addy was born missing a right arm and part of her right arm. They call this arm her “lucky fin” after the famous Pixar movie Finding Nemo (remember how Nemo had that small right fin?). When she saw Popcorn was also missing part of his right leg, she knew he was the perfect pet for Addy.
It was a big day for Popcorn and Anh, his rescuer, as they drove all the way to Michigan.
She was about to hand him over to his fur-ever home. He was both excited and tired from the long trip, but the excitement prevailed when they pulled over the driveway with his new hoomans waiting.
Addy excitedly ran towards Popcorn as he was running and wagging his tail as he met his new best friend. Tiffany and Anh were both happy that these two found each other. They knew their bond and friendship would grow stronger by the day.
They brought Popcorn home, and he was welcomed by excited family members.
Addy’s brother, Keegan, has been counting down the days until they get to bring Popcorn home. He was delighted that they finally had him with them that day.
Popcorn took his time getting used to his new home. He now had a dog sister named Woobie who was trying to get accustomed to his presence, too. Using the stairs was the one thing he needed to figure out the most. He tried and tried until he went down without a hitch.
Addy and Popcorn now have each other in whatever challenge they face.
Popcorn enjoyed his new home. He now had a family that would watch over him and loves him wholeheartedly. Woobie slowly warmed towards him, and they were excited to finally have a playmate.
Addy, on the other hand, found a best friend and buddy that whom she could brave the world with.
Tiffany hoped that the two would remind each other to face challenges head-on and not let anything discourage them from doing anything they love to do. Having each other is a beautiful reminder and promise that they got each other’s hands – or fins – no matter what.
