Here’s a fun fact. King Frederick of Prussia in 1789 was quoted as saying, “Dog is man’s best friend“. Years and years of breeding to manipulate certain traits resulted in what have become our beloved canine pals today.
But it was a dog named Old Drum that seemed to solidify that everlasting bond between a man and his dog. More on that later.
This man and his Shih Tzu do nothing for three minutes but play on the cold floor. And you know what? He didn’t mind. And nor did the dog. Pretty sure you wouldn’t either.
Watch.
He stays belly down, hands out before him and he just lets the little dog lick his face and have its way with him. If you want to be showered with love, get a dog. You won’t be disappointed.
There are a total of 360 dog breeds in the world.
So you have lots to choose from. And while they may vary in terms of size and looks and personalities, the one constant trait is a love so pure and so true, there’s nothing like it in the world. Undying loyalty, fidelity, and love. And they say there’s no such thing as perfect.
Just look at these two. Where other people are so busy with their noses buried in their phones and laptops, the man and his dog take a few minutes off just to have fun together. Why stress yourself when you could do this? Right?
Even a viewer gets it,
“Lying on the floor and playing with doggies! Best therapy! Lovely video.”
You don’t know healing until you’ve felt a dog’s love.
Back to Old Drum.
He was a black and tan hound dog who belonged to a Charles Burden. Poor Old Drum wandered into a neighbor’s yard and was shot. When Charles heard the gunshot, he called all his dogs in. They all came back except for his favorite.
When he asked his neighbor, Leonidas Hornsby, if he’d seen the dog, the neighbor denied ever seeing Old Drum. Charles found the body of his dog by a creek.
Justice for the dog.
Charles sued and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court. Burden’s attorney,George G. Vest, delivered a stunning statement called The Eulogy of the Dog. A statue of Old Drum was erected outside the Johnson County Courthouse.
Men are willing to go through hardships all for their dogs. It’s probably the same for this guy and his Shih Tzu. The little dog nibbles on his human’s ear, paws at his hair, and just exercises his dominance over his human. Sort of.
The Shih Tzu is a very affectionate and playful breed.
Everything about them is cute. The size, the face, the attitude and their antics make for an adorable companion. One that will keep you on your toes. Or on your tummy like this guy.
Look at him! How could such a small dog have so much energy? That’s all the love he has for his human just overflowing. There’s so much of it that he needs to express his love every single second. For those three minutes, everything was just fine in the world.
