What would you do to get noticed?

Usually, we would call someone’s name out to get their attention. Others would tap or give them a little bump. But animals could not do that themselves. Instead, they have other ways to communicate their intentions.

They would meow or bark all they wanted, leaving their human to decode the message. Some of them mimic the gestures of humans – like tapping your hand when they like pets. But others can be a bit more extra… like waving at people!

That’s how this cat went viral.

Her name is Vali for short. She was a senior cat at 10 years old and had to be given up when one of her primary caretakers passed away and the other got ill. They could no longer take care of Vali, so they brought her to the shelter.

Community Cat Club said she’s been waving at everyone who passed her by since she was there, but it seemed like no one took notice. They wish someone would take time and pay attention to her, for she is truly an amazingly sweet cat.

Vali has lived in a foster home for quite some time.

Her foster family said she was a good girl and would often follow them everywhere they went. She also loved pets and would tap your hand for more. They raved about how she loves anyone regardless of age and could get along with other animals very well.

But even with these qualities, Vali’s foster family admitted that there were few inquiries about her. They thought it would be such a waste if no one would be showered with all that love from this cute floof.

The shelter decided to give her a little minute of fame.

They posted this video of Vali eagerly waving inside her kennel. She wanted to say hi to anyone who passed by. Clearly, she wanted some human connection from visitors.

Posting the video did the work for Community Cat Club and Vali. The video went viral and got shared and viewed many times. There were almost 30 applications for Vali.

In the end, they finally found Vali’s fur-ever home.

Her new mommy saw the video and recognized the determination of this cat to get adopted. That incessant wave was all she needed to know how much this cat wanted to have a home where she could shower all that love.

The new owner set up a meeting immediately, and she knew Vali was a perfect match. Vali was happy to finally have a hooman to cuddle with. The shelter was also very pleased how posting that video helped Vali find her home.

If you want to help and adopt other pets, you can check Community Cat Club. They have dogs and cats for adoption and would love a forever home. You can also help them by donating because even a small amount can go a long way for their fosters.
