One day, Canadian reporter Alex Leduc was launched into internet stardom.

Well, he went viral.

So, he was internet famous. But not for his hard-hitting new coverage.

Leduc had his 15-minutes of internet fame for showing his true colors as a cat guy.

While filming a segment at the local SPCA, Leduc showed just how much he loves cats.

To be fair, we’re not sure who it was that was more internet famous, Leduc or the cat.

We’ll just tell the story and you can decide. Leduc was covering a story about how the animal welfare organization was making pleas for public donations as their lack of funding threatened to shut them down.

Leduc shot several possibilities for the newscast by telling his stories in different ways.

While doing his takes, a cat lies asleep in the background atop a perch.

The cat was sleeping cozily until she seemed to be awakened by Leduc’s continual takes.

That’s when she rose from her perch to take a tall stretch.

She then got cozy again and went back to sleep.

But Leduc woke her back up again with his continued talking to the camera.

The cat rose again, but this time she got up to sneeze.

Not once or twice, but three times in a row.

After the second sneeze, Leduc couldn’t contain himself. He had to stop mid-sentence to turn around and tell her “Awww, bless you!” in a sweet voice.

But don’t worry! That doesn’t mean the cat was sick.

“An occasional sneeze in a cat is normal and no real cause for alarm. Just as in humans, sneezing in cats is an explosive release of air through the nose and mouth – often the body’s response to irritants in the nasal passages. Sometimes, excitement, or movement can bring on sneezing in cats,” Pet WebMD says.

In this case, it must have been Leduc going on and going in that same type of robotic reporter voice that was waking her from her lovely nap.

The cat decided it was a good time to give herself a little bath and wipe her face down prompting Leduc to turn around and dive right back into his reporting.

The cat decided to stay away and clean herself for the rest of the takes, but that 58-second video ended up going viral.

It ended up being viewed more than 4 million times on YouTube.

“Love this guy, his turn to the kitty and telling him ‘bless you.’ You know he’s an animal lover. Hope he went home with a kitty pal,” one commenter wrote.

We’re not sure if Leduc ended up adopting that day but from the looks of it, he might already have one at home judging from his demeanor with the cat.

“You can literally see how much he struggles not to pet the cat, lol, that’s adorable,” said another commenter.
