Most people love and respect animals. That includes those of both the domestic and wild kind. Especially when it comes to pets, owners go to the extreme to make sure they’re properly cared for. As a matter of fact, the majority of individuals who own an animal spoil them rotten…just as it should be.
But sadly, evil people exist.
Animals depend on us
Among the different types of pets, dogs are the most popular. Take the Labrador for example. This breed is smart, gentle, and protective. You just can’t beat a Lab.
Caught on camera
This story about a Labrador is disturbing. Remember, cameras are just about everywhere. That means even in unsuspecting places, things that people do are recorded. In this case, that turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened.
The scene unfolds
This story involves a beautiful senior Labrador. It started when a dark-colored sedan pulled into the Orchard Park in Vancouver, Washington. It’s a beautiful place with lots of trees and walking trails, perfect for walking dogs.
He trusts his owner
Captured on a security camera, you see the vehicle park. Then, a woman gets out and opens the back door. Out bounds a beautiful yellow Labrador. Initially, it looks as though she’s going to take him for a walk.
He’s confused
But after removing his collar, the woman gets back in her car. The dog stands there looking at her in total confusion. Then, she exits the vehicle again. But it’s what she does next that’s infuriated millions of people.
Despicable
The woman starts walking toward the woods with her faithful pup right beside her. But while he’s investigating, she runs back to the car, gets in, and drives off…just like the coward she is. Yep, she abandoned a senior dog.
No help whatsoever
This was the Labrador’s worst day. The woman did one of the most heinous things a human can do to an animal. Shortly after she left, a white vehicle pulls into the same parking lot.
He’s still waiting
This poor dog had returned to the parking area, looking for his owner. But she was nowhere to be found. So, he waited. When the white vehicle pulled in, he looks at it, hoping it was his human. Although this car drives away without the pup, it’s believed this is the individual who reached out for assistance.
Finally, rescued
Fortunately for this boy, someone did come to his aid. He ended up at the I Paw’d It Forward shelter where he’s been receiving fantastic care. Touching so many hearts, this Lab has been showered with love and support from people all over the world.
She’ll pay the price
The good news…this amazing dog will go to a home where he’s truly loved and cared for. As for the woman who dumped him at the park, well, the shelter’s Facebook recently provided an update. The Law Enforcement/Animal Control unit is spearheading the investigation and thinks they’ve identified her.
You can watch the incident as it happened by clicking on the video below. While it’s extremely difficult to see, just remind yourself that this Labrador is now in safe hands. Hopefully, the woman will soon be captured and charged to the fullest extent of the law.
