It’s great coming home from a stressful day of work and being greeted by our furry best friends. Our pets have different ways of expressing themselves when they see that we’re home, and this particular St. Bernard dog does the most adorable thing upon greeting his owner. However, before we get to the story, let’s talk about the St. Bernard dog breed first.

These dogs are history’s full-time human saviors.

Back in the 1050s, a monk known as Bernard of Menthon founded a shelter to house travelers passing through the treacherous and snowy routes going to Rome. The monks that were working in that hospice bred and trained large and strong dogs to sniff out and rescue travelers buried in the snow. There was even a myth about these dogs bringing kegs of brandy around their neck for the frostbitten travelers to be warmed up.

This breed of dogs is currently known as the St. Bernard. They are massive dogs with wrinkled brows and a tame face. The male dogs are considerably larger than the female ones, reaching a minimum of 27.5 inches at the shoulder. Moreover, St. Bernard dogs are now domesticated to be family dogs. These dogs are clever and lovable, but they could be fierce and quick to action when the family faces danger.

This is how this particular St. Bernard welcomes his owner back from work every day.

Sully the St. Bernard is an extremely lovable dog that has his unique way of telling his owners he loves him. Whenever his owner comes home from work, Sully needs to go up to him and pin him down on the bed or the floor so he could hug him. In the video, Sully managed to pin down his owner at the bed and squish him there for as long as she wanted.

The needy Sully continued to press his body on his owner, and with Sully’s large build, it became hard for his owner to get away from him.

Whenever Sully’s owner tries to break away from him, Sully would push his paws or head to lock him down. As soon as the owner realized he could not break free from Sully, he just let Sully continue to cuddle him until he was satisfied. The owner even gave the huge dog a big hug.

The one-minute video of the needy Sully caught the attention of millions on the internet

The short clip made its way on the internet after Sully’s owner uploaded it on their channel, mallemay s, six years ago. Among their other videos, this one got almost 16 million views on YouTube, which made Sully an instant celebrity. The dog also has Instagram featuring photos of his daily lives with over 4,900 thousand followers.
