This is the inspiring story of a little runt kitten who was given a fighting chance to live, and this little kitty took that chance and never looked back!

It just goes to show you that when you’re against all odds, you can still come out on top.

This is Stuart, a little runt who was so small, he was no bigger than a chapstick (with a photo for reference).

Stuart and his family were found in bushes near a residential home. His mother and siblings were much bigger than him, so this little runt kitten stood out.

Fabulous Felines NWA took Stuart in, but Stuart appeared motionless. The organization wasn’t sure if Stuart was going to make it.

“But we had to at least try,” they said

“Stuart Little was brought to me in August with his mom plus six litter mates, rescued from outdoors by a Springdale resident (Scott Hollandsworth). The mom was malnourished and semi feral and the kittens were really struggling, Stuart Little worst of all,” said Amanda Rhea from Fabulous Felines NWA.

However, in less than a week, Stuart Little’s fur grew back on his face and head and he doubled his small weight.

According to Amanda, the mother cat had stopped nursing her kittens and did not want to eat, “so I went ahead and had her spayed and relocated to Cat Haven Ranch for her own safety and well being. I bottle fed the kittens until a surrogate mom was found (and continued to supplement with bottle feeding).”

But thankfully, Stuart still got the nutrition he needed thanks to a loving foster mom surrogate named Bessie.

At 6 weeks old, Stuart’s body still needed to catch up to his head.

But at least he’s growing into those big adorable ears!

At 8 weeks old, a month after Stuart’s rescue, he’s grown a little bigger than a chapstick!

And as Stuart grew older and bigger… he underwent an amazing transformation.

Now he is loved and adored in a forever home. You would never guess he was the runt of his litter!
