Being yourself is the best way to be happy AND to make the people around you happy! Nobody wants the fake version of you and learning to lean into your own happiness is often something that we pursue too late in life. For dogs, however, that’s not much of a problem!

We all know that in a loving and stable home, a dog has no qualms about being loving to anyone who crosses their path.

There are lots of reasons to get a dog, but for most of us, the real reason we have a furry friend is because they are the best and most loving creatures on the planet! In a healthy environment, you can never outlove a dog who loves you – it’s a very special thing.

Nato is a Rottweiler who has made an impact on so many people already. Aside from just loving his owner, Nato has the ability to see if someone needs a little extra love – even if they are a stranger.

Dan McPierson and his dog, Nato, were at the park when something amazing happened.

Humans usually don’t interrupt each other while going about our daily business. We don’t want to seem rude or prying, so we just let people to their own devices usually. As such, we don’t often pay attention to the people around us and are in our own little worlds.

Dan was sitting on a bench when he saw a man come sit nearby.

Truthfully, Dan didn’t think much of it until Nato did something interesting.

“As soon as the man sat down, Nato locked eyes with him,” McPierson told The Dodo. “Nato responded positively, but I could see the guy was sad.”

Nato knew that something was going on with this man and wasn’t about to sit by and do nothing about it!

Nato was clearly asking Dan if he could approach the man sitting on the bench, so he was given permission.

Once the man said that he would also like to see Nato, it was a done deal. Nato got up and walked over to the man! As the man petted him, it was like a wall fell away. He clearly liked his dog and Nato clearly liked him!

As the two men talked, they learned a bit more about each other.

“After I took the video, the man told me he had a girl dog who was just like Nato in her ways,” McPierson said. “Suddenly, I remembered we had seen him before with that dog. He told me that he had lost her recently, and that it gave him such a good feeling being able to pet Nato.”

The man who wanted to pet Nato had lost his own dog recently! It was like things had aligned and all the man needed was a little reminder that things were going to be ok. Nato just happened to be that little reminder for the man.
