For dads, do you remember how you took care of your wife while she was pregnant?
Of course, you do. You might have remembered those times when you ran errands while being the only one who was in charge of the house and all the chores.
Well, you’re not alone.
While some wives will claim that they weren’t as lucky, they can always show this viral clip about how a golden retriever took care of his mate while in labor.
These Goldens went viral.
At first, they were shown sleeping beside each other. Then, the moment the wife woke up, the dog ran towards the AC switch and increased the thermostat.
Sounds crazy? You haven’t seen anything yet.
Then, he snags a small basin with his jaw and trots to the kitchen. He laid the basin down in the sink and reached his paw to turn on the faucet.
He then happily marched to his mate, quite pleased with himself.
This dog’s on a different level.
After she finished her drink, he went to get her leash. As a pregnant dog, exercise is still important so she can stay fit.
But instead of their owner walking both of them to the park, the dog bit on the leash and accompanied his mate.
Time for another short nap.
This gave the daddy dog a chance to do other errands. In this part of the day, he went into the kitchen to help prepare his mate’s dinner.
Chicken, fish, shrimp, and some vegetables sound good. Daddy dog helped his human with cleaning. He even took out the trash.
Can other wives say that about their husbands? Kidding.
He’s even a gentleman at dinner.
He might be super hungry with all his work, but he lets his mate get her fill first. After all, she’s also eating for their pups.
Tthen, when he invited her for a post-dinner run, something happened. His wife insisted to stay home.
Then, the labor began.
When their fur parents knew what was about to happen, they quickly set up a nest for her.
What was a space just for the two of them became a home for a happy family.
A big happy family.
One by one, the puppies emerged from their mother. The owners cleaned them thoroughly before leaving them to nurse on their mother.
All the while, they were feeding her easily digestible food to help her through the process.
The sweet retriever finally became daddy.
They ended up with seven healthy puppies. They all have their own colored collars that almost resemble a rainbow.
And just like that, the daddy dog is on the chores again. But this time, he wasn’t only taking care of one dog. He’s looking over his mate and their children.
With the reliability that this “goodest” boy showed, however, we know they’ll be alright.
