It really is a wonder how some people can just abandon their pets. Thank goodness for others who go out of their way to rescue and even adopt these beautiful animals. They need our love.
Meet Joey Wagner. He’s a marine from Nova Scotia, and the man loves animals. He loves them so much that he rescued a helpless puppy and gave it a new home.
It was back in 2012 when Wagner encountered a Pitbull puppy named Mojo. The poor little pup was on the brink of death. Mojo was suffering from extreme demodectic mange.
It’s a parasitic skin disease that was causing the dog to lose a lot of hair.
Wagner’s heart was immediately moved and he knew he had to get the puppy to the veterinarian. He did but the veterinarians couldn’t give him a definite answer if the Pitbull pup would make it.
Wagner learned that the pup had been used as bait in dogfighting circles. No wonder Mojo was in such a pitiful condition. But the dog was a tough little pooch.
Mojo fought and survived.
Mojo’s mange was so bad that he needed more time to heal. That meant he couldn’t be adopted yet but the pup was determined and he persevered to get better. Mojo improved slowly but surely and soon was back to his old self.
The workers from the shelter grew very fond of Mojo. They loved the pup so much that they didn’t want Mojo to go to just anyone.
The workers knew that Mojo deserved only the best, and they knew who was deserving of the beautiful Mojo. Wagner saved Mojo’s life and it was only fitting that the dog went to him.
Wagner wholeheartedly agreed.
Wagner and Mojo met once again at the animal shelter. Mojo instantly recognized his hero and lifesaver while the adoption was in process. The best part was that it wasn’t just a reunion.
It was the road to a life together, forever.
Mojo and Wagner’s heartfelt reunion was viewed 1,798,388 times on YouTube.
The happy dog couldn’t stop licking Wagner’s face the entire time.

Mojo’s fur may not fully grow back thanks to his previous injuries but he now has a loving family. And his health will surely improve now that he’s got so much affection and attention.
Wagner went out of his way to make sure Mojo had another chance in life. Pets have nothing but love for their humans and it’s only right that we do the same for them.
