What would you do if you saw a raccoon walk up to the drive-thru counter in front of you?
This woman and a friend had the shock of their lives when a raccoon cut them in the drive-thru lane of a Dunkin’ Donuts store.
Samantha was in the car with a companion when they chanced upon the most unexpected customer.
They were driving up to the drive-thru window when they saw a raccoon sitting on its hind legs in front of them.
It seemed like the raccoon was waiting for something or someone.
Since there wasn’t anyone there, he was just resting and waiting.
As soon as he saw Samantha’s car pull up, he went straight for the drive-thru lane as if to say, ‘You’re not getting in front of me, pal.’
By the sound of their reaction, they were unlikely to cut in line.
They needed to know what was going on and why there was a raccoon in front of them.
Samantha told her companion to be careful not to hit the raccoon, especially since she was desperate to know what was going to happen next.
It was obvious though. This raccoon wanted some donuts.
The question is, will the staff give this raccoon a donut?
Will he take it?
Will he steal it?
What is going to happen?
So many questions and the answer will reveal itself in a few seconds.
A staff member walks up to the closed window with the donut and now Samantha is thinking, ‘Are they giving him a donut?’
She didn’t open the window yet so Samantha was still unsure what was going to happen.
Samantha was so excited and talking a mile a minute.
She was saying to the staff member to give the raccoon the donut despite the closed windows of the counter and their car.
Maybe Samantha thought she could send telepathic messages to the staff member.
Samantha was genuinely excited and wanted the raccoon to have the donut.
Maybe he has trouble looking for food.
Or maybe the raccoon has a big family to feed and this donut can help.
At this time, the raccoon was already sitting on its hind legs right below the counter window.
It looks like this isn’t the first time the raccoon has come to this store to get food.
The window opened and the staff member reached out to give what looks like a vanilla-frosted donut to the raccoon. The raccoon stretched out both his front paws to take the donut. He looked so polite, too, when reaching for the donut.
The raccoon then transferred the donut to his mouth so his paws are free.
He ran off to the other side of the store towards the grassy area. P
erhaps to eat his donut in peace or to share it with his family.
Samantha and her companion were so amazed at the transaction that just happened in front of them.
And so were millions of viewers.
Samantha posted the video on her TikTok and Facebook accounts, where it received more than 22 million views, 4 million likes, and more than 30k comments.
