Dogs are a blessing to every family and that’s one big reason why we should always appreciate them. They have saved people’s lives in their own miraculous ways, even when the humans around them aren’t aware of any danger. The point is, they will always have your back, just like this dog who saved his family from impending danger.
The family never knew that the dog they chose would save them in the future.

Caitlyn Radel-Paaby and her family decided to get a dog one day and came across Willow, an adorable, female, snow-white Great Pyrenees puppy. Caitlyn immediately fell in love with the dog’s tame face and her amazing personality.

They bonded in an instant, and that is when Caitlyn knew that Willow was the dog she was looking for. As most pups could be, Willow is a bit frisky, but not frisky enough to give her fur-parents a hard time. Willow’s most endearing features are her hugs and cuddles, and surely, they are incredibly hard to resist.
The pooch went missing and left Caitlyn worried.

Time had passed and the once small puppy grew up to be a larger, adorable dog. Willow was faring well with the family and she could not be happier with them. One night, just a day before Thanksgiving, Caitlyn went out to buy groceries.

Caitlyn’s boyfriend was left at her home to watch her infant son as well as Willow. Caitlyn went back home, but she was surprised to see that Willow was not at the door to greet her. In fact, she never saw the pooch around as she entered the house. That is when Caitlyn became worried about her.
Caitlyn and his boyfriend immediately scoured the rooms to search for the missing Willow.
After some time, they found the pooch crouching under the office desk as if her attention is glued to something. The moment Willow realized her owner was there, she started acting frantically.
“[She] went under the desk and started acting really nervous and barking and wouldn’t come out,” Caitlyn told The Dodo. “She even got a little defensive to get our attention and that’s when we noticed the outlet.”
A tragedy averted just in time.

Caitlyn knew something was odd; however, she has no idea of what was causing her dog’s nervous reactions. It was only then when Caitlyn touched the wall that she became aware that it was getting warm. She then quickly realized that Willow was watching the sparking wires in the electrical outlet. They were lucky to find out about the burning wires in time before it blazed into a huge, unstoppable flame. If they did not realize that Willow was hinting and leading them to it, their house could have burned down just before Thanksgiving Day.
A Thanksgiving miracle

It surely is a miracle, and Caitlyn and her boyfriend were still struck with disbelief after what happened.
“She had never done anything like this and we were shocked,” Caitlyn said. “She is always making sure her human brother is safe and she clings to me like crazy and usually will alert if something is off but never anything serious until the outlet.”

Caitlyn and her boyfriend had another reason to be thankful for during their Thanksgiving celebration – and that is Willow, the dog who saved his family’s Thanksgiving.
