Sleep In Heavenly Peace
We all have our own personal bedtime routines when it’s time to wind down after a long day of work. Whether it’s reading a book or practicing private meditation, there’s a variety of ways to lullaby us to sleep. The same could be said for our wonderful furry friends that wander around the household looking for the next piece of furniture to chewing up or the next mess to create. That’s why it didn’t surprise when we saw a post on Instagram that revealed an adorable golden retriever puppy being lullabied by her human mommy to the song, “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic.
The incredibly cute puppy remains calmly seated on her mom’s lap as she dreams of happy places. Did you by chance notice the yellow and lavender flower hanging on to her ear? Don’t let the cuteness overload crush you now! Suddenly, her mommy begins to play the keyboard to the Titanic theme and we can start seeing signs of life. The puppy then begins to widen its eyes in amazement as if wondering where that majestic sound is coming from. At this point, we can’t tell whether she was awake for half asleep waiting for something beautiful to be played! At any rate, the puppy was docile enough to show she appreciated the kind gesture from her mommy.
We can imagine that maybe she is dreaming of a faraway place with infinite dog treats. She could be at nearby dog park frolicking in the grass with her paws in the air and her back rubbing up against the grass. Maybe she’s even spending time with her doggo-mates playing around in a field where she can run as freely as possible. It could be that she is also playing with her mommy with chew toys or even fetching sticks out in an evergreen forest. Whatever the case may be, she seems to be in a calm, dreamy daze as she snoozes the time.
Dreaming of Tomorrow
The heartfelt occasion also shows us about the bond between man and dog. What we call pets are actually closer to being family members since they can comfort us and bring us joys in ways we don’t quite expect it. We can see this tender moment as an example. The puppy looks to trust his human with all his might as she is calmly soothed by each keystroke. Her mommy is clearly loving every moment as she holds the golden nugget close to her chest.
In addition, our furry friends can help us get through some tough times. In her caption, the original poster claimed, “I only think of the old folks awaiting their demise in the bed scene”. This could be a reflection of her feelings of the time in which she might have felt depressed or sad about an event. I can only assume that she did this in order to combat those adverse emotions that troubled her heart. I could see no better way to heal the wounds by sharing a special moment with your doggo.
This touching moment demonstrates how the power of a warm embrace can shape the outlook of any given situation. The message is pretty clear in a song titled, “My Heart Will Go On”, however, it doesn’t hurt to mend that heart and give it some time to simmer down next to your most loyal companion.
