Dogs bring great joy to humans. That’s why they’re man’s best friend. But sometimes humans don’t always treat them very well.
Sometimes dogs are treated downright cruelly.
That’s what happened to a poor pup named Pascal. This 4-month-old little baby was subject to unspeakable cruelty and left to die. People were so shocked by Pascal’s story that it ended up going viral.

But thankfully his story has a happy ending.
Poor Pascal was found on the brink of death with his fur fully matted and hardened.
Rescuers claim that the dog was covered in industrial glue and then dragged through the dirt by children. When Pascal was found he was inside of a box and he could barely move because of the industrial-strength glue covering his body.

Thankfully, a kind soul found him before it was too late.
That person brought Pascal to an Istanbul dog rescue called He’Art of Rescue.
The rescue found that the poor dog was covered in a cement-like layer. He was in critical condition.

Pascal was barely able to move.
Rescuers said the glue was “like a second skin in time and as thick as the cement, preventing blood flow to several points in his body.”
To make matters worse, Pascal was terribly frightened of people and cowered in the corner when they tried to help him.

The staff had no option other than to shave Pascal entirely and as close to the skin as they could.
When they did his skin was revealed to be red and raw.
Poor Pascal spent that day in complete shock and wouldn’t move.

But with the love and care from the rescue’s staff, Pascal learned to trust again after about two weeks.
He warmed up to the staff and even made friends with other dogs at the rescue.
The photos of Pascal in his original condition were truly unbelievable and even hard to look at.

Eventually, the pup was released from the hospital.

“Pascal will now remain under our close supervision in our center for a month, the time where we will assess his personality and go through the adoption application. He will learn how to be a puppy again, how to behave in a pack, and with people. He will forget the painful past!!!”
After being at the rescue for a while, his fur started to grow back.
His fur coat was fully restored after a few months in recovery.
And after that, Pascal was completely unrecognizable from the dog that first walked through the rescue’s doors.

Eventually, Pascal was adopted into a family of his own.
