Like human toddlers, puppies love to explore new things in nature. It’s a way of teaching themselves the wonders of the world. Moreover, isn’t it fun for us to see them become curious about the little things in our yard? Like the green grass, the flowers, and the butterflies.
Puppies love to chase anything.
Since there are many things that puppies are curious about, they usually let their instincts run free while exploring.
Once they meet something for the first time, they would not hesitate to give chase even if it’s a cat, a squirrel, or someone riding a scooter. They would only stop after knowing that the thing they’re chasing could hurt them. But what happens if what they’re chasing is actually friendly?
A puppy’s first encounter with a butterfly.
Lúcia Kohl Dalmolin was looking outside her front door when she found her puppy playing with a brand-new friend – a butterfly.
The friendly butterfly was not afraid to approach the small pup, and the pup got became fascinated when it came to him. The adorable puppy was rolling excitedly on the entrance mat while the butterfly was playfully flying all around him.
It all happened so naturally.
Usually, butterflies don’t go anywhere near something they think is a threat. Even when we pass by near them, they’d get startled and would fly away. However, this unique butterfly had no problem going near the puppy even if Dalmolin was there to watch.
The way they interact was as if they knew each other in the first place. If the butterfly was scared of them, it would have easily been able to get away, but it chose to stay to play with the pup. They both were having fun playing with each other, and it is a pleasure to watch them.
The fun didn’t end just yet.
With the puppy laying on his back, the persistent butterfly didn’t stop trying to wrestle him. At the same time, Dalmolin was cheering on his cute pup while filming them behind the door.
After the butterfly failed several attempts landing on the pup’s paw, it went for the pup’s tiny nose.
The puppy could only defend himself from the butterfly’s relentless attacks and this went on for a minute until the butterfly successfully landed on the pup’s nose then flew away towards the garden. It was fun while it lasted.
The clip of this puppy and the butterfly went viral on social media.
As Dalmolin was able to record the adorable moment of his puppy on camera, he decided to share the clip on Facebook. It quickly reached over two million views with over 13,000 people leaving their reactions. A lot of people were more than delighted to witness this wholesome clip. Moreover, you can just watch it a couple of times to make your day brighter.

Whether we’re spending our time on the internet for leisure or not, seeing a video like this on social media could easily cheer us up. There may be days when we just feel down because of specific circumstances but maybe after seeing a simple wholesome video like this, we’d end our day with a smile.
