“The big news” is usually relegated to a few things in life, all of them life-changing. Telling someone that you have big news typically means you are getting married or you’re pregnant. If it’s anything less than one of those two, you are just click-baiting your friends on your Instagram.
Today, we will be looking at the pregnancy side of “the big news” and what that means for one adorable pup!
When you decide to let the world know you’re pregnant, there is usually mass hysteria, followed by an inordinate amount of belly touches and rubs from friends, family, and strangers. Something about new life just seems to excite people!
When we tell the family, moms and sisters usually scream, and dads feel faint. but what about when it’s time for the dog to find out?
Dogs don’t speak English, so telling them you are pregnant is quite an interesting task. Odds are, they knew before you did. They just seem to know and will even get protective over their parents if they sense that mom is pregnant!
If your dog did speak English, however, and you wanted to tell them you were pregnant, it would probably look something like this.
Stephania Saylor decided that she would tell her puppy that she was pregnant and record the reaction. Instead of just filming her telling him, she decided to amp up its hilarity a bit by adding captions! The captions are her interpretation of what her puppy is trying to say, and the result is absolutely hilarious.
The two are sitting on the couch, and Stephania jumps into the news.
“Hey Junie, hey. I gotta talk to you.”
Once she has Junie’s attention, she drops the bomb.
“There’s a baby in here”
Junie’s reaction is immediate! Leaping up and getting excited, Junie looks like she is floored and can barely contain her excitement!
“Wait, hold up, who did this to you?”
As the reality of the pregnancy set in, the second reality also hit – Junie will be a big sister! The “age-old” formula is to get a dog first (for practice) and then have a kid after you have the dog thing down pat. The secondary benefit of that is your baby gets to have a protector as they grow up!
Junie just realized that she would be the protector of this new little addition to the family!
It is a big responsibility, but Junie seems ready for it. After a few jokes at her mom, Junie finally settles into this new reality. Babies and puppies are some of the cutest things in the world, and they always seem to get along, too!
We need to see future videos of Junie and the baby!
Since this video was filmed nearly 7 years ago, we need to see an update! Until then, we will just have to settle with knowing that Junie is older and most likely looking out for her little sister.
