WHOA, that’s a lot of puppies! And yet mom looks pleased as punch that all of her little ones are all neatly lined up in a row and shows no signs of being overwhelmed.

Or maybe she’s just happy they’re all asleep!

Doesn’t she look like she wants her human to take a closer look just to see what adorable puppies she has?

Aww, these babies are so young they barely even look like dogs yet.

And mom looks pretty protective, even though we hope she trusts the people around her.

The one she’s snuggling in the crook of her front paw is simply precious.

These beautiful parents were bound to have stunning babies!

And how nice of their human to lend them a box to keep things contained.

They both look like they could use a little break.

We love how momma is sitting in front of her sleeping kiddos and posing for her picture. No doubt they can’t move fast yet, but maybe she knows having them all lined up like this is a rare reprieve.

Rottweilers get a bad rap because in the past owners have specifically trained them to be vicious.

But just look at these sweet pups!

And if we didn’t know dogs couldn’t smile, we’d think mom was doing just that in her photo.

Not only does mom look like she’s trying to post despite being completely exhausted, just check out those puppies! Are two of them asleep?

You can only get away with people calling your furry, chubby bum adorable when you’re a baby.

Ok, maybe we still say that about our pet.

But there is something uniquely cute about these puppies.

Well, there aren’t 101 of them, but we’re sure their humans are tired of hearing the jokes.

We count about 12 puppies, which seems like PLENTY to care for!

This sweet, beautiful momma looks like she’s up to the task and happy to let us adore them in the meantime.

Could this dog look any more like she was posing for a photo?

We don’t know if she got caught mid-yawn or if her humans taught her to do that for the camera, but she’s one photogenic canine!

Pardon us for not looking too close, but that may be dad.

Either way, we just love how this proud parent is overseeing their kiddos’ meals.

Then again, it kind of reminds us of our parents making sure we finished our vegetables when we were kids.

We bet most moms look at this photo and think “she has no idea what she’s in for.”

But these brand new puppies aren’t too squirrely yet – they’re still sleeping off the exhausting act of being born.

Meanwhile, mom is happy to show them off and appropriately proud of herself.

Ok, it’s not chaos yet, this is VERY MUCH under control considering the number of puppies.

At first, we thought someone had photoshopped extra legs onto this dog for some reason, but she seems to have over a dozen babies waiting to be fed.

That’s a large litter and we’re happy to see someone pleased enough to take a picture because that means she’ll have help.

Most dogs top out at 10 nipples, which means taking turns. And there’s often a runt in the litter that needs a hand.

While these adorable mom and puppy photos often end up on multiple online platforms and we lose the context, we think this is a rescue dog (which would explain the paw bandage as well).

There are some amazing people out there who take in pregnant strays and make sure everyone is happy and healthy.

If dogs can be thankful, this one looks like she is.

Can you imagine having a dog and – even if you’ve chosen to breed it – ended up with this many puppies?

How many do you count here? A dozen? More?

It looks like more than 12 to us, but mom looks like she’s got it under control.

These pups are just a few hours old, but mom looks like she’s got things squared away and is happy to show off her brood to her humans.

6 puppies is a pretty big litter for such a small dog!

We always “aww” over the way puppies pile up on each other when they nap.

Mom looks content to get some of her own attention after all of her hard work keeping them in line.

And it looks like she could use a nap herself!

Who couldn’t love such an earnest-looking dog?

We’re just glad that she seems to trust whoever is around her enough to look at them like that.

So many dogs have to find a way to care for their puppies on the streets, but it looks like she has a safe space and knows it.

Apparently, not looking at the camera runs in the family.

Momma looks like she’s ready to let the kids out to play but wants to make sure it’s safe first.

Or else their family lined them up for a photo and this was the best they could do. It’s hard to make bulldogs focus if you’re not armed with treats!

Do we just think of Golden Retrievers as so human-like that we give them full baby shoots?

They seem to be the most common breed to have pro photos taken of them.

Of course, this could be candid, but we suspect it takes a talented pet photographer to pull off this sweetness.

Aww, Snickers looks like most moms feel – overwhelmed!

Her owners confirmed to everyone that she was a wonderful mother to her pups. But that doesn’t mean you can’t look to others for some guidance once in a while.

Truly, it does take a village to raise a litter of puppies sometimes!

What a way to ring in the new year!

We didn’t even notice the puppies at first, but once we saw those little pink heads we realized they had to be just hours old.

Mom looks ready for the coming year!

Imagine being told to get ready for 5 puppies and then 10 being born.

We hope these Goldendoodles went to good homes.

Just as it is with other breeders, there are problems in the “Doodle” world as well – especially when people with severe allergies find out there’s really no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog.

Puppies are cute – but we sure do have a lot of them in the world and not enough people to care for them!

What a precious photo – we thought it was a painting at first.

While you might see this pit bull momma as having a concerned rather than a serene look on her face, she sure is protective of that puppy.

Some viewers joked that it looks like the “dog printer” had some trouble with the ink cartridge.

Of course, puppies can be all sorts of colors depending on genetic expression. We doubt the family even notices that two look different. Dogs smell family, they don’t see it.

Ruby had 9 puppies but we can only see 2 (and a half) in this photo.

The look on her face is priceless though. We can’t help but ascribe human emotions to extra-expressive dogs sometimes.

She really does look proud of her pups!

And we’re willing to bet it was the photographer that put a pup on her head, which she looks unamused by.

We’re not sure how the puppy feels about it either, but some people just want to get that perfect shot.

This Australian Shepherd looks so stoked. You’d hardly believe she spent the day caring for 9 pups.

But our favorite Reddit comment was this:

You can be a proud mom without mugging for the camera, right?

This dog is just doing her duty with a placid look on her face.

And considering just how many puppies there are, she’s going to be there for a while!

Just like toddlers, once they grow into those paws they use them to get into all sorts of trouble!

Give it a few more days and mom might have a different look on her face when they can jump the barrier!

We love the Bernese mountain dogs – they’re so gorgeous.

This litter is made up of bernerdoodles, no doubt bred for selling. They’re also a very cute breed – we just hope they all go to good homes.

It looks like mom is delivering a very important lesson to her puppies in this photo.

And we have one for the owners as well – don’t wear black clothes in your house!

This gorgeous dog (a pit bull or a staffie, we’re not sure) made us smile.

But while she might be a happy mom for now, it’s important to remember that many of these types of dogs end up in shelters (or worse).

A new litter isn’t always something for humans to celebrate (though we certainly can’t begrudge the dog her motherly pride).

Thankfully, Autumn will be spayed before she finds her forever home, and we hope her puppies get the same treatment.

The poster shared her story about being abandoned by her owner while very pregnant. But puppies this small can’t always stay at the shelter because they need so much extra care and their own space.

Luckily, the Redditor who posted the photo is fostering them.

Husky puppies are always some combination of adorable and terrifying before they grow into their markings.

After all, this could have easily been avoided by spaying the dog.

Then again, it could have been a surprise because they took her in not knowing she was pregnant. Either way, we hope it’s a lesson they only had to learn once.

Hey, if human moms can brag about what voracious eaters their newborns are, then dogs can look proud too.

That’s a lot of dog food to go through every day! But this is obviously from a breeder.

Boxers crack us up because they have the most expressive faces. And it is hard to attribute a human emotion like “pride” to them with the way their faces often look frowny.

But seeing that her little one inherited the same look and she’s watching over him, we’d say she is, indeed, a proud momma.

By the look of the whelping pen and dad nearby, we feel safe guessing these dogs belong to a breeder.

Notice how many puppies are feeding in addition to the number sleeping! That’s a big litter! It’s a good thing mom has help.

If this is momma, she is one big Shar-pei!

No wonder her pups follow her without argument. She doesn’t look like she takes any sass!

This lucky dog momma looks like she’s got a home where she’s being taken care of, complete with a soft, fluffy place for her babies to take their first steps.

This is one of those photos where you could just swear dogs could actually smile.

After taking in their Yorkie-chihuahua mix, these owners didn’t get to the vet in time. And it all happens in a flash – many owners don’t know when their dogs could have gotten pregnant.

But luckily this will be her only litter and her humans are committed to making sure things are done right from here on out.

There were 6 puppies in all, but we could swear there are 4 tiny cows in there.

This pup was rescued as a stray and may have already been pregnant.

That’s life on the streets for many dogs when we don’t support spaying and neutering programs in our communities.

You can always tell malamutes apart from huskies by their long hair.

This pretty momma might not have time for much self-grooming in the coming weeks, but she looks pretty proud to be taking good care of her 10 puppies.

We don’t know how many puppies were in this litter. There could be two in her arms and it looks like there may be one off to the side.

Regardless, it looks like she’s giving a little extra time to at least one pup that needed it.

What a good momma.

This mom looks like she’s coming at motherhood with the appropriate mix of pride and anxiety.

But by the looks of her nice whelping pen and the cozy bed for her little beans, she clearly has support around her.

These little border collies may not resemble mom much in their coloring, but she’s watching over them like a proud parent.

It looks like she may be in a shelter, so we hope they all find good homes.

Mom is even keeping the odd one out from getting too far away while she tries to keep track of her party of 9.

Dad is a pit bull (the owners believe), so it looks like this was another “oops.” And hopefully the only one.

If this Saint Bernard’s birthing quarters look a little rustic, it’s because she lives on a farm.

Dad is also a Saint Bernard on the property and we can only assume the family wanted more puppies.

They sure are cute – but 10 Saint Bernards is A LOT of fur and feeding.

We love that mom can cuddle with her pup and look at her owner with love as well. She’s got lots to give and seems like a real sweetie.

Lulu (the mom) is a pretty big deal on Instagram where you can find her at @loulouminidachshund and see her other litters as well.

While it appears she belongs to a breeder and will likely have multiple litters, this momma seems up for the job.

Just look at that prideful and coy grin.

She knows what she’s doing.

We assume from the caption that this dog was rescued while pregnant.

That’s a big responsibility for people to take on and we admire the efforts of the people who do it.

Here’s hoping they all get the forever homes their mom found someday.

We couldn’t help but smile when we saw this photo.

It looks like the first bath went A-ok, and perhaps mom is relieved not to have to bathe her puppy herself anymore.

It’s growing up!

You can never really run out of Golden Retriever family photos. There are breeders everywhere since they’re such popular dogs.

We’re just glad mom had a hand or two in getting all 10 of those puppies to grow up big and strong.

Doesn’t it look like this dog took a selfie? We’re just grateful it didn’t use a Snapchat filter to smooth things over.

And the faces on the puppies – oh my goodness.

Have you seen anything sweeter?

Frenchies are so adorable but the breed has so many health issues. It’s hard to see more dogs bred just to suffer from breathing problems their whole lives.

But this momma doesn’t know that – she’s just happy to have a healthy family.

Those puppies are so tiny! They must be newborns.

This is a heeler, and their puppies are often born white and then develop marking as they age.

Mom looks thrilled with what she accomplished and we hope they all find loving forever homes.
