A kindhearted policeman from Britain has gone viral after directing his horse toward a little boy to say hello. The child was so excited by the animal that he could barely contain himself.
When children see animals, their eyes light up in utter joy. And this particular boy’s excitement is one of the most beautiful things to witness, and it reminds us of our own childhoods.
The boy’s joy was infectious.
As adults, we often forget how much love and wonder we had when we were young. We see children as small versions of ourselves, but with their innocence intact.
In a particular video, a simple gesture from an officer created a huge impact on a little boy. Growing up, people tell us stories about how policemen can be scary, but this officer proved everyone wrong.
He’s probably one of the most approachable ones.
When the video was taken, Buckingham Palace was in the middle of changing guards. A lot of people gathered to watch the famous ceremony.
A certain police officer welcomed the guests and gave them some pieces of advice. He told them to be careful because the more they are focused on their screens as they capture the ceremony, the more they attract thieves.
Pickpocketing is common outside the palace.
It’s pretty easy to see how kindhearted and pure the officer is. He goes beyond and above his call of duty to ensure everyone is safe and happy.
“It’s when you’re so focused on those screens, that’s when hands go in pockets and in bags and things disappear,” he thoughtfully warned. “All the important stuff vanish.”
He then continued to send his regards.
He also wished everybody the grandest time. And just when everyone thought the officer couldn’t be kinder, he drove his horse toward a tiny boy to greet him hello.
The boy’s face immediately lit up and he reached out to pet the well-behaved horse.
The little boy wasn’t scared at all.
Instead, he looked really excited to have a close-up moment with the guard horse. This simple act of the officer created such huge smiles from the crowd.
Kindness is contagious. It’s a good thing that can make a difference in the world. And it’s a great way to bring people together, no matter how different they are from each other.
The policeman and his horse are proof.
