While in lockdown, it can be disappointing for many of us who can’t continue with our hobbies that we were previously involved in. So a dance instructor from the Netherlands had a great idea when she decided to run a socially distanced dance class in a local park with all of her students.

However, she wasn’t banking on having a couple of extra students come along and join in, but the hilarious surprise was enough to lift everybody’s spirits, and we’re so glad that somebody was able to capture the whole thing on camera.

Fiek Vdh of The Hague had the brilliant idea of moving her salsa lessons to a local park so that her students could continue learning and having fun. However as the class began their lesson, two police horses emerge to steal the limelight! Fiek captured the hilarious video on camera and shared it onto her Facebook page with the caption:

‘Did a salsa class last night at the Zuiderpark Den Haag. Two police officers on horseback came by and decided to join us! Amazing and what an enthusiasm ☀️☀️

This needs to be shared right??’

And her audience listened, with the video racking up over 3.3k shares as well as 2.5k likes since being posted on May 21, 2020. People just couldn’t get enough of the police horse’s moves!

As the music begins, the class starts to dance and Fiek shouts instructions to her fellow members.

But it seems that the horses in the back row are also listening, and as Fiek and her students step side-to-side, so do the clever horses! Fiek spins on the spot, and a second later, so do the horses. Next, Fiek and the class slide to the side, extending their arms, and once again the police horses join in, whilst the police force who are on the saddles carry out all of the arm movements.

Fiek carries on with her lesson like a trooper, but every now and then she can’t resist throwing a glance back at the horses and laughing.

The dance group and their special additions have soon formed quite an audience as people watch in amusement. It has to be said, these two horses are great at following the dance moves, and they’re always in sync!

Acknowledging the success of her video in a post shared on May 28, Fiek said:

‘One week ago I posted a video of me and my friends to which we danced salsa, with company of two police officers on horseback. A special and unique situation, which especially gave and radiated lots of fun. A positive vibe, in this (still) weird time.
I asked y’all to share the video and this was done massively. Now we are one week further and the video has continued all of Europe and even out there like America. Multiple media platforms were interested in this video. Bizarre and incredibly amazing 😁

I want to thank you for sharing, because of you this video went viral. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible!

Thank you so much! Thank you very much! Muchas gracias!’

We loved watching this video, as it shows that even during these difficult times of lockdown, people are still coming together as a community and having fun. Take a look at the video yourself below!
