Many cats are found by their humans— whether it be a shelter or simply outdoors. But one cat named Plop actually found her own home, all by herself. Plop hung around outside a house, meowing until the homeowners were left with no choice but to let her come inside. Soon enough, she was part of the family. It was what Plop wanted… and exactly what she got!

Little did the homeowners know that Plop was growing a few surprises in her belly! Just a few weeks after joining the family, Plop’s humans discovered she was pregnant. Shortly after, the vocal kitty gave birth to four beautiful kittens.

“P”, for Peanut, was one of the kittens born in Plop’s litter. It was apparent shortly after birth that part of her nose was missing, preventing her from properly nursing.

Plop’s owner Alex sought help from a veterinarian to ensure the kitten’s survival. She learned how to bottle feed P herself to keep the sweet baby alive.

“There was no other choice, Alex said. “I was just going to do what it took to get her healthy and happy.”

Although P was eating well, she was still quite tiny. This wasn’t obvious so obvious birth, considering all the kittens were pretty small, but it became more noticeable as time went on.

Full-grown, P grew to be about 4 lbs— the size of an average 4-month old kitten.

“When she was a kitten, the vet could not register a weight on her,” Alex said.

“She was too small.”

As P grew older (but not bigger), a few other issues became apparent. In addition to her slightly deformed nose, the tiny kitten had only one open eye and a single, adorable snaggletooth. Essentially, one half of P’s little body didn’t develop normally— but that only adds to her unique (and adorable) appearance.

Everyone was concerned, that due to P’s deformities, Plop would disown the kitten and stop caring for her. Unfortunately, this happens often with special kittens— but in this case, it was quite the opposite!

“When Plop started moving her kittens around the house for the first time, she took P very first.”

Plop noticed P’s abnormalities— and instead of abandoning the kitten, it just made her love P more.

While kittens typically wean from nursing and are independent of their mothers shortly thereafter, with bottle feedings, P didn’t get that experience. Despite missing out on that bonding and nursing, Plop still took P as her own and never treated her any lesser. Instead, the devoted mom gave her tiny baby more love and attention. It was like she knew P needed it.

“They snuggle every day, all day.”

Although P may be lacking in size, she definitely compensates in personality and charisma!

She’s not only the same size as a kitten— she still seems to have kitten energy levels too! With a charming a personality and a never-ending love for Mum, P has become the purrfect, little feline friend.

“P went from hardly living at all, barely surviving, to just thriving.”

P will never be lonely with her Mama by her side, but just for good measure, her owners got her a new sister— a panther kitty named Phoebe!

So far, Phoebe seems to be fitting right in, becoming a part of Plop and P’s unbreakable bond.
