There are many reasons why grandparents are the best. Everything they do for their grandchildren is done out of love, and lots of people can surely attest to this.

Emily’s mother, Sally, was not thrilled with the idea of her bringing a dog into her house.
She knew that taking care of canines is challenging. It includes training your dog, cleaning up, grooming, and the list goes on.
But Emily chose to keep her fur baby, Wally, and brought him home with her.

And you know what? It was a great decision that she didn’t listen.
It’s because it led to an unexpected bond between her mother and Wally.
Because Emily considers the adorable pittie to be her own baby, he is also now Sally’s grandchild.
The good news is Wally loves spending time with his grandmother.
“His favorite place to be is anywhere grandma is,” Emily told The Dodo.
When they are together, they share a special bond that is heartwarming to watch. They cuddle, eat ice cream together, and do a lot more enjoyable activities.
Visiting granny always makes Wally wag his tail.
He is always excited to see Sally. There’s even a video where he can’t wait for his grandmother to open the door.
And when he finally saw grandma, he lavished her with lots of sweet kisses.
Fun Fact: Wally loves going to the vet.
Yup, it’s because it has something to do with grandma again.
Sally works at the veterinary clinic where Wally is a regular. She is definitely his favorite person.
What makes Wally even more special?
He is named after Emily’s late dad, Walt.
According to Sally, whenever she says Wally’s name, she is reminded of her husband.

There’s no doubt that Wally brightens Sally and Emily’s life. And as for Emily, this cute pittie is her “actual child.”
“Wally really is my actual child. I’m pretty sure I birthed him. We do everything together. All of my friends are having kids, and he’s really just my kid for now.”

It’s none other than a visit to his grandma. He surely doesn’t want to miss their “special date” every week, especially an ice cream trip.

This is how Emily described how her mom treats their fur baby. She even quipped that Sally can stop asking her about having children.
A grateful heart
Sally is so happy that Emily didn’t listen to her when she hesitated to let her bring the doggo home.
“I’m so glad you didn’t listen to me, and you got Wally. This life would not be the same without my grandbaby,” she told her daughter.
Truly, Wally’s existence brings a lot of joy and color to their lives.
And, of course, Wally is blessed to have them, too. It’s because the love that they have for him is overflowing that other people who see them can feel it too.
