If you’ve ever owned a pet, you know just how silly they can be. Sometimes that silliness expresses itself differently, but nearly all dogs have a streak of absolute goofiness in them! For some, it may come out in the zoomies they get and for others, it may show itself in a funny way they walk when they are excited.
For one pitty, that expression was more… facial!

Mckayla Nelson has her hands full with two boys at home. They are rowdy and mischievous, just like they should be! While two boys would seem like PLENTY of trouble in one house, Mckayla decided to adopt a dog, too.

Gus was the new addition to the family and he was a happy-go-lucky pit bull.
Funny enough, Gus is convinced that he is one of the three children in the home. The two boys that he plays with each day? Those aren’t just kids, they are his brothers! After a year and a half of growing up together, the bond between the three of them was unbreakable.
The three of them love to play and make messes around the house.
“He immediately stole our hearts the second he came home, and became best friends with our two little boys, Zeke, 2, and Eli, 6,” – The Dodo
As such a young dog, Gus loved to keep up with whatever his brothers were doing and always brought an element of fun to playtime. If the boys needed an extra laugh, Gus was sure to provide it!
His goofball personality matched perfectly with theirs. We see him more like a third child than a family dog.”
One of Gus’s favorite things to do is play outside.
If he gets a chance to go outside, Gus is absolutely ecstatic. If it’s alone, that’s fine, he’ll still be happy, but if it’s with his brothers, all the better! Gus loves outside so much that if he sees anyone out there without him, he gets extremely jealous!
Gus has a special way of letting the family know that he wants to go outside (or come back in).
“He is a serial window licker,” Nelson said.
What does that mean? Well, the picture is the best way to understand! Whenever Gus wants to go outside he will get as close as he can to the window and press his nose, face, and tongue against it until someone notices him. It’s safe to say that this look has caused hours of endless laughter among the family.
If Mckayla is taking a photo of one of the boys near a window, you can almost always assume that Gus will photobomb it!
“He (Zeke) had no idea what was going on behind him, which made the photo so great,” Nelson said. “Gus always wants to be outside playing with the kids.”
While some may consider Gus an annoyance, the family absolutely loves it. The photos would be great by themselves, but Gus’s personality adds so much fun to any pic he’s in!
“Hopefully everyone will … enjoy his pictures and personality as much as we do,” Nelson said. “Just goes to show that when you respect and love an animal like a member of your family, they have the potential of being the best companion no matter what the breed!”
