When we think of pit bulls, we usually think of mean dogs who are quick to growl and even attack. But the stereotype isn’t always true. In fact, pit bulls learn to react to humans based on how they are raised – just like any other dog. This pit bull is breaking down stereotypes with his immense love for his little human.
Scarlett is a girl who gets to grow up with the best friend ever – a pit bull she has known since she was very young. The dog, named Lebowski, is absolutely in love with his human. The two love sharing their adventures together, and they want to prove to the world that pit bulls aren’t bad boys at all.
Lebowski was rescued along with the rest of his litter when he was just a puppy. Since then Scarlett and her mother have kept in contact with the families who took in the pup’s siblings. Once a month they schedule a play date, and all the dogs get to be reunited.
Lebowski loves seeing his siblings, but he loves his human even more. He and Scarlett do absolutely everything together, from playing dress up, to celebrating holidays, to going on endless adventures. They even cuddle together every night. This little girl can’t imagine going to sleep without her snuggle buddy by her side.
“It’s the best thing ever for my heart growing up with him,” the sweet little girl declared to The Dodo. It is obvious from the way she includes Lebowski in everything she does that she is grateful to have this kind soul in her family.
Scarlett’s parents are thrilled that the two have grown so close, and they can’t imagine life without their pit bull.
“Whenever we ask, ‘Do you want a human brother or sister?’ she’s always all, ‘Nah. I’m all good,'” Scarlett’s mom, Jennifer, explained as she giggled at the camera. Lebowski is Scarlett’s real brother, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
This little girl and her canine companion can be found cuddling all over the house, proving that Lebowski is much more timid than most people would believe. This pit bull might be big, but he has an even bigger heart.
Young Scarlett has been around pit bulls her entire life, from the moment she came into this world. She has always known the dogs’ sweet nature, and she is thrilled to have them around.
“When Scarlett was born, they were basically by her side every day until they passed,” the girl’s mom shared. So Scarlett knew the friendly demeanor of these adorable dogs from day one. Now she uses her photos and videos to prove to the world that pit bulls don’t deserve their harsh reputation.
When asked about what her followers think about pit bulls, Scarlett observed that “Now they like him . . . I show them how good he is.”
This girl may be young, but she is wise beyond her years. Animal experts can only hope that one day others will share her ability to understand the love that pit bulls feel for their owners.

Robin’s hope is that people will eventually see these dogs as they truly are – kind, caring, and lovable.
If you can’t judge a book by its cover, you shouldn’t judge a dog by its breed. Scarlett and Lebowski are proving to the world that pit bulls are just as sweet as other dogs – and they make the best childhood friends. This little girl is lucky to grow up with such a loyal companion by her side.
