We rarely know how Mother Nature will respond to a human intruding upon her domain. Thankfully, the results can be more than savage, they can be cute! Even some of the most fearsome predators on the planet have the capacity to be adorable in the right situations. Of all those predators, one of the most famous ones must be the cheetah.

Cheetahs are natures sprinters.

Clocking INSANE speeds, Cheetahs can run up to 75 mph. Imagine driving at full speed while on the highway and you look over only to see a cat hauling beside your car. It would be quite a sight! This competitive advantage gives cheetahs an edge when it comes to hunting their quick and nimble prey.

The fastest land animal is the cheetah, which has a recorded speed of between 109.4 km/h (68.0 mph) and 120.7 km/h (75.0 mph

Seeing a cheetah take down an animal can mask the fact that they are still a cat!

One man is able to see through all the teeth and claws, right down to the kitty within. Dolph C. Volker is known as “The Cheetah Whisperer,” and he is quite the character! It makes sense, too, as it takes a special kind of person to do the things that Dolph does.

Dolph is a conservationist and wildlife activist.

Dolph doesn’t do all the crazy things he is known for just for show — he truly cares for animals. Whether it’s hiding inside a dead animal (in order to see wildlife feed up close) or taking a nap in a cheetah enclosure, he does all in the name of love. He had dedicated his life to protecting and caring for some of the world’s wildest animals.

Eden the Cheetah and Dolph have a special bond.

Eden is a cheetah that has grown up at the Cheetah Experience in South Africa. She was raised in captivity and is essentially a “therapy cat” for a wounded cheetah that also lives on site. As Dolph explains, she is incredibly caring and loving to all she meets.

This is Eden, the most adorable, nicest, most friendly Cheetah I know. She’s just about PURRfect. She’s beautiful, SUPER nice, in fantastic condition, has a face like a living Disney character, an animal athlete, supper fast, a huntress, and has the most hypnotizing purr I’ve ever heard from a cat.

Eden and Dolph love to cuddle!

In one of the craziest things I have ever seen, Eden and Dolph spend much of their day cuddling together!

Taking a nap all snuggled up, Eden purrs and lays her head on her human friend’s chest. As Dolph explains, she loves to intertwine her legs and paws with you while she sleeps. She is essentially a big baby (except she can run 75 mph and kill large animals).

Dolph would love for her to be a mother one day but it doesn’t look like that will be happening.

Dolph spends so much time with Eden that he thinks she will make a wonderful mother. Where Eden lives, however, doesn’t want to proceed in that direction with her. She will primarily be used as a comforting friend for the other injured cheetah who lives on the site.

Ending the wild video, Dolph leaves us with his signature quote:
