Whatever happened here, this dog and cat sure do look guilty about it- and we’d bet you anything that it was the cat’s fault. Cats are always the bad influence when it comes to these situations, and dogs are so very easily led. If we only knew the backstory to this…

If you’re a cat owner and you think that your cat doesn’t have their own lair, then you just haven’t found it yet. The lair is usually found in a dark, tight space, such as under a couch or bed, and often consists of hair ties, bottle caps, razors, bits of wrapper, and anything else your cat deems worthy of stealing. If you’ve lost something, it may be worth checking your cat’s lair.

Some dogs love water while others refuse to even get in it- but this dog seems to have a whole mix of feelings. It’s like he’s got in the pool and is suddenly regretting it- but it’s too cold to get back out again. We’ve all been there.

These cats look like they’ve been getting up to some frisky business, and their guilty expressions don’t particularly help them out. Just what exactly was going on in here? “We were just fighting, I promise!”

Every dog owner recognizes that guilty expression, and when your dog has a face like that, you know they’re up to no good. This dog fancied some treats, but as mom wasn’t willing to buy them, he decided to take matters into his own paws. Too bad he got caught.

If you leave a puppy with a shoe, and a pack of magazines, then what do you expect? It’s the equivalent of taking your child to Disneyland! At least he has the decency to look guilty.

Dog logic: the huge, 7-foot door won’t stop them from coming through, but the small doggy gate sure will. We don’t even know how to react if our dog had ripped apart our door like this. We think we’d have a miniature heart attack.

Dogs know how to win their owners over, and this pretty girl knows that her owners love it when she smiles at them. So when she does something bad, the first thing she does is bring out the smile that her humans can’t resist… And she always gets away with it!

We don’t know who looks more uncomfortable in this picture- the dog, or the cat. Clearly, they were getting up to something totally private, and they weren’t exactly thrilled to be caught in the act. Someone give them some privacy!

We all know the love that cats have for uncomfortable sleeping spots, and to this cat, a load of hangers sure does beat any bed that his mom and dad have ever bought for him. However, from his disgruntled expression, we’d hedge a guess and say that he might be a little stuck up there. Can someone lend a hand?

To give credit to the dog, he looks totally cozy in there and judging by that little face of determination, it doesn’t look as if he’ll be moving any time soon. “All that hard work and you expect me to get out already? You must be having a laugh!”

Rabbits are known for their trademark hop, but we’re pretty blown away that this little guy managed to jump onto something that was over three times his height! But instead of feeling proud of himself, this rabbit is wearing the guiltiest expression- as he knows that he’s not allowed to sit on the couch. Bad bunny!

How many times have you bought something for your dog, only to watch them rip it apart several minutes later? Dogs have so much fun tearing things to pieces, but we’re not sure that the guilt is worth it afterward. It’s like eating that Big Mac meal when you promised yourself that you were going to stick to your diet this time.

The thing with cats is that they like to be doing exactly what their humans are doing. In fact, in a cat’s mind, they’re no different from a human at all. So if his human gets to drink ice cold water out of the fridge, then this little guy thinks that he’s entitled to it too.

He’s seen his mom putting on her lipstick before, and he thought, “How hard can it be?” Granted, he heard mom say that the lipstick was very expensive, but he’ll be careful! Well, it turns out that it’s pretty hard to be careful when you have paws instead of hands. We think he looks beautiful!

The serial *ahem* cereal thief has been revealed- and surprise, surprise, it’s the dog. Despite having bowls full of meaty goodness presented to them every day, our pets would much rather eat what’s off-limits to them-the human food. And if there’s a chance that it will make them really sick, then they only want it all the more.

Going back to the whole “cats have to be a part of everything” thing, did these people actually think that they could do some baking without their cat’s input? This cat has been watching a lot of MasterChef recently and believes that it’s high time he began using his skills in the kitchen. But don’t judge him if he licks the bowl, though…

This dog is still insisting on his innocence- even though the evidence is currently hanging round his neck. “It wasn’t me who went in the trash, it was the cat. I always get the blame for everything!”

These pair are definitely conspiring right now- you can clearly see the cat whispering in the dog’s ear! And whatever she’s saying, the dog doesn’t look best pleased. “Tell him it was all your fault…”

This horse hasn’t quite grasped the idea that she has four legs yet, while her human only has two. She’s thinking that all she needs is a size or two up, and she’ll be rocking those jeans just like her owner! We think she looks fabulous, regardless.

What could possibly be more entertaining than ripping open a pillow and playing with the feathers? Sure, the human isn’t going to be best pleased, but they need to lighten up a bit. Feathers are so much fun!

This dog is thinking about starting a new career as an exotic dancer, and the bedroom is a great place to practice. Of course, she wasn’t planning on telling her owner so soon, but now the cat’s out of the bag, she’s already starting to show off. Just look at those moves!

We often think that cats fight without even knowing what they’re fighting about, so as soon as they’re interrupted by their owner, the guilty expressions come out. To animals, the fridge is a sacred place that contains some of the best foods known to man. So if they find an opportunity to go in there, then of course they’re going to take it! Naturally, this dog went straight for the most expensive item in the fridge- the raw meat.

We don’t know who looks more surprised- the cat, or the toy. In fact, this cat is doing a brilliant impression of the toy’s expression. He’s got those big eyes nailed! In all honesty, it looks like a traumatic experience for all.

It’s not just dogs who love divulging into human food. When cats learn how to open fridges and cupboards, you can say goodbye to your favorite snacks. The only thing to do would be to chid-proof your house!

Let’s face it, there looks to be more than enough pancakes to go around, and this cat just wants to be a part of things. It’s a pity that he wasn’t able to sit and feast with everyone, but it looks as if he got more than a few bites of those delicious crepes. “Do your worst, for I have already won.”

Cats are often independent creatures, but they understand that teamwork is sometimes necessary. In this case, it was all about the strategy, and they almost made it to the kitty food! “Dang it, Mittens. I told you your sneezing would wake him up.”

Surprisingly, although cats are meant to be on a diet high in protein, that doesn’t mean that they’re not the biggest carb-lovers out there. A birthday cake can be irresistible to some cats, and you can forgive this little guy for thinking that the cake was his. What a little chocaholic!

Hair ties are one of those things that always seem to mysteriously go missing, and when you live with a cat, you might as well just say goodbye to all of them.

The shoe might be almost as big as his whole body, but this little pup is determined to get hold of it. Look how proud his little face is! If we had a puppy as cute as that, we’d let him get away with murder.

Cats are some of the most cunning animals, and when a cat and baby end up conspiring together, you’ll probably think that you’re losing your mind! Ah, there’s nothin’ like a little spilled milk. Clearly, the cat is just doing her part to help clean up and keep the milk from dripping on the carpet. It looks like there’s another cat waiting below for any drops she might miss.

He might have done something naughty, but this dog gets points for thinking on his feet! Judging from that sleepy expression, he must have been in a pretty deep sleep when he heard his owner walk into the room. One minute, he was dreaming about chasing squirrels, the next, he was rolling off the bed and onto the floor.

“And the Oscar goes too…Scout!!!” Dogs are actually much smarter than we give them credit for. This sneaky little guy has the perfect cover for breakfast stealing.

After looking at this picture, we cannot help but imagine some diabolic laughter coming from the cat. What a determined look! “I worked hard to capture these sausages, and I’m not giving them up.”

This kitty is the most shameless thief we’ve ever seen- and even after he’s been caught in the act, he refuses to give back the paper. His family stopped their delivery a while back, so how else is he supposed to catch up on the latest news? Must keep current on world affairs, and the price of kibble.

We’d predict that this picture was taken about 1/5 of a second before regret if our suspicions are right and the band is fastened to that shelf. Of course, this helium balloon might actually be so strong, that both cat and balloon float off into the skies together. “I believe I can flyyyyyy.”

At first, we thought that this might have been someone’s pet turtle- until we read the caption. Who knew that you could get wild turtles? You certainly wouldn’t expect him to come along and steal your food!

There’s nothing that cats love more than causing chaos, destruction, and general mess- so a plant pot is too hard to resist. The scattered soil that’s going to be a nightmare to clean up, and damaged plants that you spent so many loving hours tending to, are just a product of the cat’s chaos. He’s not sad that he did it, he’s just sad that he got caught.

In the cat’s mind, he’s just captured one of the biggest birds known to man. All he wants is to go outside with his prey and show the other birds what they should be afraid of. Unfortunately, though, every time he tries to leave with his conquest, the dratted door gets in the way.

Who knew that dogs liked cucumbers? Apparently, they’re actually pretty good for dogs, and the skin does a great job of cleaning their teeth! We think this little guy should get to keep his tiny cucumber.

This cat is so civilized, that he even uses a straw to drink from. While the lower-class cats simply stick their heads into their human’s glass, this cat has a bit of dignity about him, thank you very much. Sleeping 18 hours a day is thirsty work.

Sometimes we all bite off more than we can chew, as this cat is soon to discover. It’s every cat’s dream to come across a fish this big, but is it a good idea for this cat to consume over four times his body weight in fish? Absolutely not.

Tasty treats aren’t just tempting for us humans, as this cat owner discovered. This cat believes that as long as his face is hidden, his owners would never know who the culprit was… We’re hungry now!

The hair tie thief strikes again, and after all of these pics, we think it’s about time that we have a check under our couch. Cats love to toss, chase and pounce on these little elastic bands, and they can’t understand why we’d do something as boring as simply trying our hair up with them. Purrlease.
