How to make a barkuterie board of your own
One of the best things about barkuterie boards is that they are so easy to make.
All you need is a few basic items.
To make your own barkuterie board you will need something to put the food items on, such as a plate, and the snacks you want to use.
For the serving platter, you want to use an item such as a cutting board, plate, or bowl that is nice looking, yet dog-proof. For size, choose one that is appropriate for your dog.
If portion control is an issue, simply use a smaller plate.
For the items on the barkuterie board, use high-quality dried treats, such as dog jerky, dried herring, or dried salmon skin.
You should also include any fruits or veggies that your dog enjoys.
This will ensure that your dog enjoys the board and will gobble it down.
Some common fruits could include apples, blueberries, and strawberries. For veggies, carrot sticks, pea pods, and other dog-safe food items.
Make sure to include some proteins which are safe for dogs, including hard-boiled eggs, low-fat cheeses, and non-fat plain yogurt.
